I am selling a 1980 ford pinto that is 90% rust free. I bought this car in maryland and was going to make a derby car out of it , until I got it home a decided it was to nice to destroy. I then decided to fix it up and drive it to work, so I could keep the miles off my truck. I put new sparkplugs, cap, rotor, valve cover gasket, rear brakes, and some other stuff, then I changed jobs, so i never did get to drive this car on the road. I believe the miles are original because I have a copy of the title when it was sold in 1986 to the owner that sold it to the guy I bought it from and it had 38500 miles on it . The last two owners were neighbors so when i picked the car up it was still at the second owners house. He also gave me a pic of when it was repainted sometime around the time he bought it in 1986. The body is in very good condition for its age with only a little rust. the floorboards and frame rails are in very nice condition, the trunk floor in soft with a couple of small holes, this is because the trunk seal leaks. There is also a small hole by the battery tray. I have another battery tray that will come with the car that is rust free. I also have a complete ac unit, that was dealer installed on this car. I took this off when I was going to start driving, but it will be included with the car. This car does need a few things repaired, I know that the windshield washer pump does not work, (I have one that i will include), it also needs a tailpipe. the tires that are on it are old and show signs of ageing. over all this car is very solid and with alittle time it could be a nice driver, or is a good foundation for a v8 project. there is no warranty with this car and because of the tires it should be trailered home. if you have any questions, ask before bidding. car will be available for inspection by appointment at zip code 18832On Jan-10-11 at 09:06:11 PST, seller added the following information: I have new york plates on this car, just so i don't have a vehicle sitting with no license plates on it.
