Vehicle Detail
1980 Triumph Spitfire. Originally brown but restored in black, with more than $9,000 of documented improvements. Renovation included all new paint, new tan leather interior, bonnet, hood, gas tank, parts and battery. That's the good news. The car has recently developed engine trouble, losing compression (possible vapor lock), and shouldn't be driven a great deal before fixing. The elaborate sound system installed by the previous owner is incorrectly wired and drains the battery. The muffler also needs work, a little coughy when cold. A great car for the enthusiast who likes to work on motors or has a good mechanic. Everything on the exterior is in superb condition. Located in Hendersonville, NC. Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. On Jan-13-11 at 10:15:38 PST, seller added the following information: 1980 Triumph Spitfire. Hopefully, I will have answers to recent questions before the auction is completed.
