Vehicle Detail

A perfect platform for a ground up restoration, or a daily driver, this '74 tii is a great opportunity to acquire a stock vehicle--no one has tinkered with this car, no shade tree mechanics. The car has not been raced, junked up with modifications, abused, nor driven hard. It has been garaged for the past 20 years or so in the hopes that I would find the time for a restoration. Unfortunately I haven't the time and am offering it here to an aficionado who loves the marque and will appreciate the potential of this car. IF you currently own a 74 tii then you are most familiar with the BMW parts manager's term "NLA" as you struggle to find replacement parts. This car would be your solution. If you are looking to own and restore a truly rare BMW, the tii certainly ranks right up there with the M3 Lightweight and the 507, at a much more affordable price! This 2002 tii is a rare example: almost completely rust free, other than some superficial rust along the edges of the hood and trunk which are easily repaired. No rust in the shock towers. No rust in the parking light buckets. The car has always been garaged and has very low miles for its age.Paint: it was poorly repainted before I acquired the car in 1982. The car definitely needs repainting; no question about it.Body: No dents or dings to the body panels.Original aluminum trim pieces: all present and in very good shape with virtually no oxidation.Tires: must be replacedWheels: 320i wheels (.5 inch wider than the tii wheels)Shocks: Bilstein sportsSuspension: original including original bushingsInterior: No cracks in the dashboard. No cracks or rips in the seats or side panels. Both window winders work as do the vent windows. Both door brakes are in tact and work. Both door locks work. Headline is white and shows no rust stains. Seats are comfortable with no ticking or stuffing falling out. The interior looks almost new.Engine: good compression within specs in all cylinders. Has been stored for 20+ years so fuel system will need to be cleaned. I warrant that the engine turns over and is not seized, that the transmission is operational and that the differential is operational. The car has factory A/C but does not current work. The car's starter drags and probably needs to be rebuilt. Battery needs to be replaced.Title is clear and no liens exist on this vehicle.Vehicle is sold as is. Shipping and PaymentBuyer is responsible to pickup and removal of vehicle within 14 days of auction close.Non-refundable deposit of $1000.00 USD is required within 48 hours of auction close.
