1995 GMC Yukon I bought this truck to restore for my son - as his 1st vehicle. Brought it home to surprise him and, unfortunately for me, it wasn't his "style". The truck drives very well, starts up every time - transmission shifts smoothly and 4x4 works. Body was repainted at some point - seems to be pretty decent shape - no major rust - there are a few minor scratches and dings here and there. Also a small crease above the passenger side door handle - barely noticeable - check pics. Also the rear wiper is not working, the fuel gauge works sometimes! Interior is well worn - but not terrible. Some plastic trim items may need repair or replacement. The factory stereo doesn't work - I think the previous owner may have had a "system" in it and after removing it just stuck the factory stereo back in - not sure though! There is also a small exhaust leak - only noticeable when you rev the engine a bit. The truck has aftermarket HID headlights (very bright) The tires are almost new, all match and have about 85% tread remaining. I just had new front brakes installed - a new starter as well as an oil & filter change. I do not know if the motor has been rebuilt or not...but it is "tight" and rattle free. No smoke, oil useage or irregular noises. I had the truck on a lift and noticed that the front suspension bushings look newer - there is no "play" in the front suspension - I would guess that it was rebuilt at some point in the not-too-distant past. The underside is in good shape - just usual surface rust - no rust through or rot what-so-ever. The A/C compressor kicks on - just can't be sure if it works - as it was a "Balmy" 30 degrees in New Jersey today! The GM 5.7 litre / 350 cu inch V8 is a proven dependable motor. I know of several that have run well over 400,000 miles with nothing more than regular basic maintenance! Delay Wipers Rear Wiper - NOT WORKING! All in all a Decent truck - not perfect ...... but very driveable - no knocks or leaks.
