I bought this car this summer at an insurance auction, we have done several things to it (timing chain, timing, tune up, fuel lines, battery,gaskets, catalytic converter and a few other small items)and it runs and drives great, this is the second time i have listed it due to the last buyer not paying. Engine is very powerful,Transmission shifts fine, interior is in good shape but needs cleaned and some minor repairs(plastic and wood grain pieces replaced, maybe couple other small cosmetic things), top is in good shape. The paint could use a good buffing, it shines but some spots need a little buff. This car is in St. Louis right now at the shop where it was being repaired, I have replaced the catalytic converter, some gaskets, tires(used) since the last sale. This will be a great deal on a Jag XK 8, reserve is very low.It is for sale locally and may sell before auction ends. If you are serious about this car make me an offer, would like to get it sold as I have other projects I want to focus on.On Jan-07-11 at 22:57:46 PST, seller added the following information: A few updates, I just recently took this car on 2 long trips(my everyday driver needed a transmission) about 2k miles. It ran and drove fine, I was very pleased, it still needs a good detailing, the tires are ok but will need replaced in about 10 or 15k. I averaged 25 mpg on the highway and it is very powerful. It needs one of the hood terminals, the emergency brake light is on and may take it in before I sell it to find out why, the roof liner needs some minor work. I am sure it will need a few minor things in time but not sure what yet. I would be willing to deliver to new york area or parts of florida for a little over expenses. If serious please make an offer, this auction will probably end early.
