1982 Honda

I got this for my nephew for Christmas hoping I could get him into dirtbikes but the kid would rather sit in front of a tv and play video games. The things starts right up and runs like new. All the bearings are tight, shifts great, idles great just simply runs awesome. The tires hold air and it will really get along pretty fast for a mini bike. Everything except the seat foam, seat cover, and tank are original. It looks like the seat was recovered with a generic Honda seat cover and a gas tank from an older 50 was used. Right now, the only thing that appears to be missing are the number plates. The chrome on the shock and forks are pitted some but both work. The sprocket cover is broken at the back but ive got another one on the way. Its really just a visual thing, it doesn't leak anything or need replaced unless your gonna restore it. I tried to take as detailed of pics as I can to show everything and anything that may be an issue. This is just a great mostly original Honda 50 that would make an excellent restoration project or just put a kid on it and let them go! It is for sale locally though so I reserve the right to end the auction at any time. Feel free to make offers too but I know what I have and im not giving the thing away! This is not one of the cheap chinese knockoffs that fall apart in a month or grenade the motor the first weekend. I might be able to help with delivery, but its gonna cost $12 an hour driving time both to and from and payment must be made before hand. Im not gonna pull up in a parking lot and have some yahoo pick it apart and offer me $100 less, im a little short tempered and it might not go well :). I would imagine I could find a couple of boxes and ship it UPS for around $175 too but I would rather not be bothered with all that. And its not for sale internationally or to Canada, I just had a bad go around shipping a set of streetbike forks that took 2 months to get to their final destination and im not going through that again, I got lucky and got an understanding buyer that time. And the frame and everything are in really good shape with just a very little bit of surface rust in a few places, this little guy was well taken care of. Update, I believe I have a line on a tank that is an original to this year and just has a few tiny dings in it. And as you can see in the pic, the spark plug boot is missing but I have a new coil and plug wire with cap on the way! It runs fine the way it is but i wouldn't want a little guy to touch that wire and get the shock of his life. I have searched here online and an original set of number plates can be had for $59.95 really completing the look of the bike. I just dont want to put anymore in it unless the bidding starts getting higher but they are for sale on here right now on Ebay. White number plates were the color for the 82's and they are really hard to come by. The brackets to mount them are all there and rustless. I wanna stress again that this bike is very solid and runs VERY well. And I rode it around for quite a bit and changed the oil to make sure that there was nothing sparkly in it that might signify a potential problem and the motor does not smoke at all. I really dont think this bike was ridden very much at all, its in too good of shape.
