At time of my listing, there is another CB 400F on ebay with a BUY IT NOW of $10,000!!!! You can buy this running, street legal, titled 75 CB 400F with a Buy It Now of $1699!!!!! My reserve is less, but why wait? These are getting harder and harder to find as so many have left this country, or are in collections here in the U.S. This is one you can ride as is and enjoy the power of the mighty 400 cc 4 cylinder that was only made for 3 years. I don't know the bike's history, but the seller who sold to me, added the number plates on the sides, the seat, and light setup. NO PARTS ARE INCLUDED> YOU ARE BUYING THE BIKE AS YOU SEE IT! The lights work, the electric start works, and bike runs good...rode it yesterday in our 54 degree weather, today it's 26 and windy. Bike could use a new rear sprocket, and perhaps fine tuning on the carbs as a little hard to get started, but once running, it runs great! Front brake is not stuck, and bike stops well. There are no sidecovers on the bike, and as you can see the original fenders have been removed for that custom look. Both the side stand and center stand remain on the bike. While not a look of a cafe racer, it has a look all it's own. You may want to restore the bike to original or again, just ride as is? The engine number is CB400FE-1019476 and frame# is CB400F-1019687. Somebody at some point spent some time painting many of the items on the bike black. The carbs are black as is some of the engine and handlebar parts.If only the bike could talk to tell us of it's history...... It is what it is..... I like nice stock,original Japanese bikes too, but this is a chance to own a legend for cheap. The TANK is beautiful and original. No visible rust on the inside, nor is the tank dented. Very nice tank! I can offer enclosed delivery for $1.00 mile one way up to 300 miles from Grand Rapids, Mi. Bike must be paid for in full first, then you pay me in cash for the delivery, upon delivery. You are welcome to arrange your own shipping from Grand Rapids, Mi. via a carrier of your choice.
