Vehicle Detail
1979 Lincoln Mark V Collectors series The mileage is correct. It was Grandma's car and is still in her name. Gift from Grandpa in 79'. Sat for a bunch of years in a garage after she quit driving in the mid 80's. I ended up with the car after her estate was settled. Recently had 1 window switch replaced, and had to have the original belts replaced... had dry rot and they shredded when I took it for its first spin in quite a while. Replaced battery, primed the carb, and it fired right up. What a ride. This is a real survivor. Original every thing. Tires and rims cleaned up like they were just rolled off the showroom floor. After getting the car up on the lift, sprayed all the cobwebs off of the under carriage. The interior is real nice. White leather 6-way seats. The dash and carpet in the cabin, and in the trunk are Blue. Nice combination. Carpet is like a baby shag (so 79'). There are a couple of granny crimples and dings on the trim, and there are a couple of minor indentation dents on the body. There is a story for each one (one of them came from a Hoe!). Two dime size rust spots at the lowest point of the landau roof on each side of the car. Only surface rust. Only known rust on the car. Grandpa had it “Zeibarted”. The 8 track works, have the working factory "Sound Test" tape. Also have all the original books and tool kit. Odd thing is that there is no "space saver" spare tire in the trunk. Grandma wanted a real tire in the trunk. So the one in the trunk is a full size matching tire to the 4 original Michelins. All option Mark V Collectors Series. One of 2500 White models produced.
