This has to be the coolest old school VW Trike still on the Road! It's not a "Show Bike," But, for what it is and all you will not be disappointed. There just aren't too many of these left. I have only had this Trike for approx. 3 month's. I have always wanted one, and there it was. The man didn't really want to sell it. But, I had to have it. Needless to say, I have alot of other thing's that came up, such as: bill's, other toy's I need to finish, etc. I currently own 5 Harley Davidson's. I will probably have to part with a couple of those as well :( About the Trike, it turn's heads everywhere it goe's. I haven't had a chance to ride it much, do to work, etc. But, for the year (it was built and Titled in 1982,) it run's pretty good. You can get on it and ride wherever you like. I have had it up to around 80 mph. It roll's out smooth for what it is. The Engine is a 1973 VW 1600 Dual Port Beetle. It's not a rocket ship, but it get's you down the road fine. It has a Heritage Softail HD Front End (Really Cool & RARE!) It is a 4 speed Manual Trans. This Trike was "Custom Built," as were most VW Trike's of it's era. So the Title say's *Rebuilt Vehicle & is titled as MVIN. It IS Titled as an MC, so seatbelt's are NOT required ! I have had alot of offer's back in the fall, and turned them down, in hopes of keeping this Gem forever. But, thing's change, and I must part with it. I hope it find's a good home and someone appreciate's it as much as I do. The paint is not show, by any mean's, but is decent and look's great on the Trike, for what it is. I added a Stereo & AMP/Speaker's when I got it. Light's, turn signal's, etc... were all working when I parked it for winter. This Trike is what it is. I love it! Most people do too. It is Sold as is. I think whoever is looking for this type of ride will be thrilled to have it in their garage! **The gentleman that I purchased this Trike from said it originally had a yamaha front end on it. When you hit the break's kinda hard you feel like a 1/2" or so play in the front end. I talked to a local shop, and they said this is very common when front ends are changed. He said the races may need changed and it may need tempton tappered bearing's installed. The guy who owned it before me said, it didn't bother him at all. And I road it like that as well. Going down the road normal, you don't even notice it. But, if I kept it, I would want to fix that. Get ready for spring ! This would be a great touring machine to pull a trailor with, or just a cool cruiser. It come's with a slide in trailor hitch with light hook up's. Also it come's with a towing bar, in case you break down. You simply strap your front wheel to it and tow it away. * See Pics. The HD Speedo Read's 3999, but, I don't know how many mile's this Trike really has. The dimond plate work was professionally done, and looks great! It has American Racing Chrome wheel's on the rear. The tire's are in nice shape. I expect local pick up and cash in hand on this deal. If you live far away and you want to purchase this Trike, that's fine too. But, I would expect buyer to arrange and pay for all shipping/Transporting. In this case, I would want to do a money wire into my CHASE Bank Account. I have sold Harley's all around the country and this is the way I have always done it. It work's well with good communication, and it's really simple. Feel free to ask any Question's you may have.
