Sporty, low mileage 1964 Thunderbird Landau up for auction with NO RESERVE, bid early and often! Well, it's time to let her go. Bought in 2008 from an older woman who had it garaged since the mid 90's & owned it since 1982. The mileage is original as far as she knew, I cannot confirm. She'd start her up every now and then until the battery went dead then didn't touch the car for about 8 years, it just sat in a garage. When I bought the Bird I drained the gas tank and got it running with a full tuneup, did brake and fuel lines, wheel cylinders, brake pads, master cylinder, carb rebuild, radiator recore, windshield wiper pressure hoses replaced and refilled with fluid, new dual exhaust and mufflers and new wide whitewall tires. At the end of the past summer I had both exhaust manifolds replaced with all new gaskets and hardware (lots of labor replacing those!), had the shift lever replaced with oversized roll pin, lower steering column bushing replaced (required removal of hood!), shift linkage adjusted and put a new battery and starter in. I've got receipts for all the recent work. Solid floors and frame, trunk has been patched. Paint looks good from 10 feet but bubbling in spots, could use a repaint. Gas guage hasn't worked since I've owned her, speedometer stopped working in 2009. No leaks from anywhere, belts and hoses recent, engine runs smooth and quiet. I've put about 2500 miles on the 'Bird since I've owned her. She runs great, always starts easy, LOTS of power from the 390 V8, tracks very straight on the highway, has the Cruise-O-Matic transmission with the overdrive gear for easy 80 mph cruising. Cool swing-away steering wheel, power steering, brakes, all power windows work. Horn, dash lights, wipers, and all exterior lights work properly including fender turn signal indicators. Really a cool, fun car but I could use the $$$ right now. Sorry about the white spots in the pix, it started snowing as I was taking the shots.
