Vehicle Detail

Where do I start with this car. Its a 1990 Vette coupe. Ive had this car for 11 years and I took it apart about 10 years ago to restore it. I have so many projects and I just dont have the time to finish it off but its very close. Heres the details good and bad. I sold this car and it turns out the buyer couldnt read. He wanted me to hold it for 12 days with no deposit. Please, please dont bid unless you have the means to purchase this car. (LETS START WITH THE GOOD....) Interior.. I tracked down the special edition 1996 grandsport seats. I had the bases of the seats redone. The seats are very nice. I have $1500.00 in them. It took me over 5 years to track down oem gray carpet, door panels and trim. They are spotless clean. The interior needs lettle stuff put back together like the console, door panels and a little trim. I have yet to put on the door panels cause I wanted to install new seals and 50% window tint. The interior needs 5-6 hours to finish it off but I have all the parts. The steering wheel is flawless. I put the 1996 style front and rear bumpers and lights, they are original oem, not cheap aftermarket. I also am running the 1996 lower dam behine the front wheel as well as the 1996 moulding all the way around. I had the body Dupont Euro primed and blocked 5 times so its smooth as glass. The paint is a deep viper blue pearl Dupont base/clear paint. The body and paint cost me $4500.00. Its about 5 years old but it has zero miles on it. All parts like doors, hood, bumpers were painted off the car. Its a very nice paint job that far exceeds the quality of a 2011 vette. There are some imperfections here and there that Im going to have touched up but nothing bad at all. On the Pass side from of the door the hood wasnt aligned and it took a chip off the door but Im having that fixed. I will be putting on the rear hatch glass but its not in the picture. I put C5 18 wheels and Michellin Pilots on the car. The rears are 50% and the fronts are worn. The car drives staight and is aligned perfectly. There has never been any frame damage to this car. The engine will sit and idle for 3 hours if you want. Perfect oil pressure, it doesnt overheat. It runs great. The previous owner was a trans builder and built a 700r4 with all the update at 60,000 miles so the trans is fresh and shifts great. I have about 12,000 plus 200 hours into this car plus the purchase price of the car. This is a no reserve auction WITH A $200.00 STARTING BID, if it doesnt sell locally it will go to the high bidder even if thats $200.00. This car is also for sale locally at a blow out price of $7,500.00. Since the original auction I did a few hours of interior work by installing the factory cd player, console trim and I placed the door panels on with only a few fasteners cause they need to come back off for seals. I also but a few dash trim pieces on. I will put up a few more interior pic with the extra trim installed. (NOW THE BAD...) The car needs a new windshield. 180.00. I have all the used rubber seals but I wanted to replace them all with new ones. I will supply the old ones but I wanted new on the car. The car needs about 25 hours to be finished off. Little interior and exterior misc. When I purchased the car it had a damaged hood and it was in for repair, while it was someone stole the wheels and seats. The original owner lost interest and I purchased it from him. Im going to dmv this week. I believe the title is clean but I need to make 100% sure, I dont believe it was salvaged from the seats and wheels. There is no lien holder, the car is free and clear. My reason to sell is I have 16 projects going and I just dont have time to finish them all. The car has had a non op for 10 years for my restoration so the Registration fees are minimal. This is a awsome car that can be complete with very little work and money. The vette is located about 30 miles north of San Diego. I can help arrange shipping. Shipping to AZ or NV is about 400, TX is about 500, shipping to FL is about 600. feel free to call or text me for more info at (760) 580-8816. I will need a 25% deposit within 48 hours or auctions end and the balance paid within 5 days. Because of the fees I dont accept Paypal. On Dec-14-10 at 08:59:52 PST, seller added the following information: I have been asked a few more questions that I wanted to address that may be helpfull. There are no parts missing to this car. I have everything including the original CD player, interior console trim, misc interior trim, all the old rubber trim which I did not install because I was going to replace it with new rubber. I also have the side view mirrors. The stereo is a Bose system which I believe may have a blown rear speaker, if my memory serves me when you turn the stereo up to high volume one of the back speakers distorts a little. I had a no op on this vehicle back in 1999 when I started the project. It expired but vehicles fall out of the DMV data base after 7 years so you'll be starting fresh. Im not sure on the exact fees but my guess is it should be under $100.00 to register. You may want to check with your state and tell them your interested in purchasing this vehicle and what you need to do to get that done. You can do so by giving them the above vin number. The Vette has the original 5.7 liter Fuel injected 350 SBC engine that has good compression and no leaks. Please forward any other questions you may have and I'll do my best to answer them. On Dec-14-10 at 12:20:50 PST, seller added the following information: Ive added some more pics showing the seals, a few of the lights which are not are the car that are new or near new, the door panels and hardware. I went through everything and there is nothing missing that I can find.
