Vehicle Detail

39 year owner. Needs are: carburetor needs rebuild (running too rich; rebuild kit is on its way from MkII Enterprize); brake shoes and maybe wheel cylinders. A new brake booster, master cylinder and lines were installed less than two years ago, but sitting has caused sticking once in awhile. Has new belts, some exhaust parts, and new front coil springs were installed less than four years ago. Tires are showing good tread, some drying. A paint job would be required due to 39 years of small knicks, scratches, touch ups. Hardly any dings/dents. THIS IS AN ALMOST RUST FREE CLASSIC. No holes in the floors, trunk, spare well, rockers, quarters, hood/trunk drip ridges, rain, etc. Bumpers are excellent no ding state; chrome has no peels and shines bright. All the glass is good, no bubbling around front/back shields/trims. All the glass stainless trim is good to excellent. The door well and door lining chromes are perfect. The original interior is still very nice and would not need to be restored. Back shelf and seat top are nice/not cracked. Dash is good with only couple small spots. Door panel and quarter surrounds are acceptable and may need a little restore. Headliner is not ripped, cleaning and/or professional dying may make it a keeper. Carpet may get by with being dyed also. No odors. Starts easy, runs good other than the gas rich carburetor. Does not run hot and the water pump does not leak. All the original factory A/C parts are there, and never taken apart; system does not work; belts are still on compressor. Transmission shows no problems accept a bit of leaking. All gauges including tach work. All lights including interior and under dash work. Steering horn works. Steering wheel is 80% good; some restore would be needed. All emblems are on car. Both door power windows work good/true; right quarter window makes an effort; left no effort. I will be tinkering with those. Driver's vent/wing power window works, passenger doesn't. With the proper detailed refresher mechanicals and a new paint job, this will be a gem without the restoration. The Lincoln will be polished, buffed and vacuumed for a future listing. Lincoln has clear Florida title in same name for 39 years (as mentioned above). On Dec-18-10 at 15:15:56 PST, seller added the following information: All the glass is good to excellent including windshield. Does not need seals a this time.On Dec-20-10 at 08:21:17 PST, seller added the following information: UPDATE: The original color was silver to grey (see trunk spare wheel well color picture). A close up picture of the data/VIN plate will be taken today and available to send email or be added if a next listing is done..
