Vehicle Detail
Well-cared for white MR2 Turbo with black leather interior and T-tops. I'm the 2nd owner and have put 50K miles on it in the last 7 years. (I had no qualms about buying it with 189k, and would have very few about buying it with its current mileage. It looks, feels and drives like a car with far, far, fewer miles.) The paint is in very good condition, with a few small paint chips as you'd expect. Interior is also in very nice condition. The pictures make the interior look much lighter in color than it is--it's still very dark black, probably thanks to light window tinting that was put on by the first owner. The car has power steering, brakes, windows, locks, and mirrors (see below) and an air bag. T-tops and T-top shades are in great condition. Work done in the last few years includes timing belt and tensioner, idler gears and water pump, clutch, HFH, HFHOE, radiator repair and radiator support and hose replacement, alternator rebuild, windshield replacement, T-top seal replacement, R-134a conversion, and clear front corner light installations. CD player/am/fm has jack for ipod plus a subwoofer in custom built enclosure behind passenger seat. Car runs great and feels very solid, without annoying squeaks and rattles from the interior. A/C plenty cold even in 100 degree days. I generally average 29 to 30 mpg on the highway. This car spent most of its life in Florida and has seen very little snow/salt since coming to KS so rust has not been a problem. What it needs: Rear tires. Power side mirror repair. (Several months ago suddenly found that neither worked. There's no power at the switch so I'm pretty certain the wire in the loom between the body and door is broken. It's not a difficult fix but since I'm the only one who drives the car and I don't need to move the mirrors, I've not gotten around to it.) Probably needs new strut inserts. Bounce test is ok and the ride is good but one is making noise, and I've no idea how old they are. I have records of all work that's been done while I've owned the car, and some that was done by the previous owner. Factory repair manuals and some new parts are included. I'd be happy to deliver it anywhere in the U.S., ask for details, prior to bidding. Note: The ebay vehicle report has a warning that about 15 years ago the Florida car title "exceeds mechanical limits". I suspect this was a mistake, at that time, and was never corrected. The mileage--then and now--would appear to be quite accurate.
