Up for auction is this Rare 1967 BMW 2000cs. This is a 5 day auction only!!!!! This coupe has a slider roof, I was told by an enthusiast that only 7 of these slider top coupes were imported into the country, I cant confirm. The car is I would say 97% complete if not more. I have always been fond of these " New Class coupes " and looked for a while till I came upon this one. I would love to keep it, but new job with lots of travel means I wont have time to do the car justice, so with a heavy heart I am here selling the coupe. The engine turns freely, I even carefully got the car started with carb fluid and ran it for less than a minute. I was told when I bought the car that the carbs had been rebuilt and the look like they were. The cars was peeling in different places showing some surface rust so I scraped it a bit and sprayed primer to covered the exposed areas, on the body it has one spot on the rear passenger side wheel well, there is also rust through where the spare tire sits, I imagine there may be more, but the car doesnt drive so I cant take it to a shop to look under it. I know the car needs a master cylinder and an exhaust. A friend of mine was going to keep the car but he also has no time for it, and he has a box with som misc. parts that will go with the car. The Strut towers look good, there is a bit of rust down the sides of the fender that I can see. The interior is pretty complete, a complete door panel and glove box is in the trunk. The car has the spare on, but it does come with the 4th rim, the tires hold air for a while but are no good. The top part of the rear seat is bad due to sun, and also the headlined is bad, the carpet is faded. I has all the exterior chrome, except for one of the license plate lights. the glass is in nice shape, no windshield wiper scratch marks, the power windows all go up and down. I have no reserve on it and title in hand. The car is in storage till December 30th so it must be picked up by then. I require a $500. non refundable deposit with in 24hrs, and the balance payed with in 3 days after close of auction The car rolls freely, and I would be willing to assist the transporter getting the car on the truck, shipping cost and arrangements are the buyers responsibility. I have described the car as best I can, I'm selling it as is, keep in mind this is not a new car, but a restoration project.
