Vehicle Detail

This is a 2 owner expedition I've owned for 5 years, it's in great condition and ready to roll! Selling because my children are grown and we no longer need all the seating capacity. I searched for a 2WD, because my wife liked the Expedition, but we didn't want the extra weight, maintenance and hassles of 4WD. The mileage is high: over 265,000. But it still runs great. No problems whatsoever. never wrecked, and the only mechanical issues I've ever had was replacing coils when they went bad, and that's normal, of course. This is a NICE vehicle for the price. Gray cloth seats no rips or tears (Non-smoker owned), front and rear heat and A/C, 6 disc CD changer and Cassette player, power driver seat, power windows, power door locks, and heavy duty tow package included (Though we've never towed anything with it). I can't stress enough how nice this vehicle is. Normal tiny rock chips and worn carpet (Not bad, just not showroom!) but good paint and good everything. Starts easy, runs smooth and strong with the Triton 5.4 V8. Keyless entry, too! Pictures speak for themselves. Versatile seating configurations allow for 7 passengers with a small amount of storage behind the rear seat (Enough for like, two average size suitcases). Fold and tumble the rear seat for 5 passengers and a lot of storage space, or remove that seat in 15 seconds for 5 passengers and even more storage space. Got a LOT to haul? Fold the middle seats flat and you have a two person vehicle with enough space to . . . well, enough space! BONUS: I will include at no additional charge, one of those tow hitch carry-all deals that slides into a reese hitch. We would take a family of five (and four were women) on a week-long vacation, and with that tow-hitch carry-all, the roof rack, and interior storage, we had all we needed! This dude is solid, and ready to drive home, right now. From the day I bought it, this vehicle would burn a little oil. I'm guessing a quart every 1500 miles. It doesn't smoke or leak, but it uses a little oil. My 89 year old dad would say, "If it never uses any oil, then no oil is getting up the valves where it needs to be to properly lubricate!" I have always used nothing but Syntec full-synthetic motor oil, and changed the oil and filter every 4-5k miles. My feedback is 100% positive because I always tell the positive AND the negative, so please read the following VERY carefully. It is missing 2 center chrome hubcaps (any Ford dealer has them, but I just didn't care enough to go get them). It has one place the size of a pencil on top of the left front fender where the paint flaked off (barely visable in one of the pics). There is a small tear in the right rear vinyl door panel the size of 2 quarters. THE OVERDRIVE WORKS PERFECTLY but because the plastic button snapped off the end of the shifter you cannot DISABLE the OD. (You would only do this if you were towing a heavy load anyway). I don't know whether it would be very cheap to repair the plastic button, or expensive. I don't tow, so I didn't care. The plastic fold-down cupholder that folds out of the rear of the console for the people sitting in the middle row is broken. It's a crummy design, fragile and a slight kick from somebody's foot in the back seat will break it. I think we had it for 2 weeks before my size 13 foot took care of it! Other than those minor issues, it's GREAT and I have set the reserve VERY low. NADA sets the value at $5675. The reserve is MUCH less than HALF of that! This is local pick up only. I will NOT ship it, but I will be glad to work with your shipping company. (I recently bought a vehicle from 1500 miles away, and I found I could have it shipped for much less than my expenses would be if I flew out and drove it back). A PayPal deposit of $500 is required within 24 hours of auction close (or the next business day). I reserve the right to end the auction early, as I have it for sale locally. Contact me if you want a Buy-It-Now price. On Dec-14-10 at 12:40:52 PST, seller added the following information: Well, I looked at the listing and saw on the Vehicle history report it HAD been in an accident (all it said was impact with guardrail) but I had said, "Never wrecked." I should have said, "Not since I've owned it." Looks like the guy that sold it to me kept something from me. Anyway, I've never seen any issues resulting from this reported accident. Also I have a CLEAR Virginia title. No liens. Tires are good, and has a current VA state inspection sticker.
