Vehicle Detail

1965 Ford Mustang modified wheelbase roadster SHELBY TRIBUTE This is a one of a kind vehicle that gets attention anywhere it goes!! It has been my baby for years, and only comes out of the airport hangar a few times every year. ANYBODY CAN OWN A MUSTANG… BUT WITH THIS YOU CAN STAND OUT IN THE CORRAL Highly modified but retains a “Stock…SHELBY…concept car” appearance The car is shortened thirteen inches and is a true two seat roadster. Ford had a concept vehicle along this line, but it never made it into production even though this would have been the perfect successor to the Shelby AC COBRA. It features a 302 with approximately 2,000 miles on it Mustang GT 5 speed transmission 9” ford rear end Lincoln Versailles 4 wheel disc brakes Vintage Holman Moody intake with a Holley Carburetor This custom ride was built to appear as if it might have been built as a FORD / SHELBY concept. with respect to the true shelby appearance,it has the following It has shaved antenna and radio delete plate De-badged fenders and a Shelby styled grille Dual exhaust exits in front of the rear tires as a true 65 Shelby would have (Yes, 66 exhaust exited below the rear bumper) Shelby hood scoop with correct width /color stripes from front to back. It also has the correct 65 style side stripes (yes, 66 side stripes were slightly different). GT 350 badging on the tailight panel The non-shelby deck lid spoiler and quarter extensions were added to complete the look!! (note-the "roll bar" is an appearance item only and should not be considered a safety accessory!!!) as an vintage vehicle this will be sold as unknown mileage!! Again, this car appears “stock” (by Shelby standards) but has been heavily modified. Note the body lines in the doors that would be in the quarter panel of a stock mustang. It has been shortened thirteen inches which gives it an incredibly nice wheelbase. The quarters and panel behind the seats are custom and it has many subtle touches that make hardcore Mustang enthusiasts say “WOW”. I love this car and under normal circumstances would never part with it, but I will be selling my collection including a gorgeous 1970 Ford Torino Cobra 429 CJ , a 1972 Triple black Lincoln Mark IV, a 1982 Jaguar Limousine and others. Watch my future auctions if you like these types of cars!!! The paint is very nice and the dash, carpets, door panels are as well. The seats are very presentable, but the drivers seat has a slight split in the stiches as seen in the photos This vehicle is for sale locally, and I reserve the right to cancel this auction early. I WILL NOT RELIST THIS CAR!!! If YOU LIKE IT THIS IS YOUR CHANCE TO OWN IT!!! I have perfect feedback and have represented this vehicle to the best of my ability. I encourage you to study the photos, ask questions or visit the car for inspection BEFORE YOU BID. My feedback is perfect because I am honest and fair in all my dealings….BUT I EXPECT THE SAME FROM BIDDERS!!! A deposit of 1,000 dollars is payable within 24 hours of auction end. Balance in full is required within 7 days. If you cannot pay…do not bid…PERIOD. A very special THANK YOU to my neighbor Johnnie at the Classical Gas Museum for this perfect photo location. He has the coolest collection of vintage gas pumps, oil cans, vintage automotive signs, and other automobilia
