94 BMW 325I 173,000 Strong AUTO Trans Excellent Mechanical Condition Drives Excellent Up for sale is my 94 BMW 325I. This is a great car in excellent mechanical condition and is ready to be put to use immediately. It has been very reliable for me and my family only ever needing minor service and maintenance. I expect it to perform the same for the next owner. Mechanical Condition The engine and trans are strong staying true to the 325I's legendary reliability. The trans executes swift and smooth shifts everytime and has never slipped. The engine uses less than a 1 quart of oil between oil changes. It warms up fast and never overheats in any weather. It drives straight with no vibration or shimmy through the steering wheel. The steering is direct with no slop or vagueness present. The brakes are strong with no pulsation from the pedal. The tire are OK with at least 5/32 tread depth remaining. I always used snow tire during winter months and would not suggest relying on the current tire to get through any significant snow accumulation. Mechanical Problems that should be noted The ABS/ Traction control lights are on which renders both systems inoperable. This is a very common problem for this generation 3 series. The ABS/ traction control system doesn't effect normal driving but requires extra caution especially when driving in wet/icy weather as the tires can lock up in emergency braking. The SRS light is on because one of the airbag was disconnected temporarily. The SRS system needs to be reset which is easily done by anyone who specializes in BMWs. The trans cooler has a slight leak. It didn't leak enough to warrant a replacement and I always checked the trans fluid when an oil change was performed. It used to leave a few drops on the ground but I haven't seen any signs of leaks for a while. Interior and Exterior appearance The paint still shines nicely however there are many dents and scratches which are not all visible in the pictures. There are many small dents on the trunk and hood from falling acorns. The fog lights don't work and the right one is missing. All in all, the car presents well but it's age is evident by its wounds.
