Vehicle Detail
This listing is for my 1995 Volvo 960 with the 2.9L inline 6 cyl. engine. I've been a proud Volvo owner (this is my second) however I need to focus on maintaining my other car at the moment so I'm looking to sell this one. If you want to beat all others too it go ahead and hit Buy It Now or you're welcome to make me an offer as well. The car is also for sale locally so there is the chance it could taken before the listing ends. The 960 has 355,979 miles on it. I got it at 263,000 miles with many service records and have continued to keep up with timely oil changes. I changed the timing belt at 333k so it's good to go for another ~50k. The tires are just over a year old and have good tread. There are some rust spots as well as damage to the front drivers side corner but I've been over, under and all around the car during the past few years I've had it and haven't found any structural problems. Volvo did a decent job weatherproofing for the most part it seems. The interior is in pretty good shape except for the vinyl pulling away from the windows and the stains on the drivers side floor and the fuel gauge does not work. The stereo head unit in the photos will not be included unless you request it (at $50 extra). What it needs to get on the road again: Power steering rack (It does not have a power steering rack installed at the moment. You can pick one up online for about $300. The old unit is in the trunk if you want to compare it's specs before you buy another since there is more than one type for the 960s) Lower steering coupler (That's the aluminum joint pictured) Long term it may need a head gasket since it leaks about 1 qt. of oil every 600-1000 miles depending on driving conditions. There is no coolant in the oil just an oil leak down the back of the engine. It has been slowly but steadily leaking when driving for some time but I've just added oil as needed. It does NOT leak when parked. I took it on a 4500 mi trip to AZ, UT, CO etc last year and it did fine. It usually gets about 24mpg but I've seen just shy of 28mpg a couple times. The transmission shifts just fine. Remember if you buy it you'll need a trailer to take it home because it doesn't have the steering rack in it. Just FYI some my favorite things about the car have been: Super sharp turning circle, great headlights (on bright setting), nice seats...and last but not least something as simple as the analog clock on the dash. It even ticks; which of course is something you won't catch a digital clock doing. Take a look at the photos and see what you think! (BTW, if you were watching it previously I've re-listed due to a zero-feedback, non-paying buyer)
