1969 PONTIAC FIREBIRD 400 W/POSITRAC This car is a real 400. I have the martini report with the copy of the original build sheet. The car originally had A/C but since has been removed. Actual mileage unknown. Odeometer says 25k. It has a 1967 Pontiac 400 in it now, with a 400 turbo transmission and a posi rear end with a 3.55 ratio. I had the rear end completely rebuilt with all new bearings, seals, ring and pinion, axles, It is the original Pontiac housing. The car is very solid. Its going to need in my opinion a cosmetic restoration. I would give the interior a solid 6. Also has a new carbuerator. As well as wires and plugs. Runs very good. Engine is silky smooth. It has FACTORY FRONT DISC BRAKES and power steering. Issues: Speedometer not workingBlower motor not workingInterior lights and guage lights not workingThere is some rust through in the trunk about 10 inches in from the tail lights. Good: Shock towers are solidRocker panels are solidDoors open and close cleanGlass is goodRoof is solidA pilars are solidThis car is a good solid foundation to work with. Runs good, brakes are very good, stops straight. Yes, its going to need work. Possibly quarters and some door skins. Inner fender wells in rear are good. See pictures for all of the above.
