1962 Chrysler 300H Exterior: Festival Red Interior: Tan Leather In 1962 this was the rarest and fastest of the famous Chrysler 300 Letter cars. Only 435 of these "Beautiful Brutes" were produced. This car is 1 of 168 known to exist. In 1962, automotive magazines reported that a 300H reached 149 mph had a 0 to 60 time of 6.5 seconds. The 413 cubic inch wedge engine produced 380 HP @ 5200 RPM. It has dual Carter AFB carburetors with progressive linkage, solid valve lifters and an aggressive cam. The car is equipped with a 727 push button automatic transmission, 4 leather bucket seats, air conditioning, 150 mph speedometer and power steering, brakes, windows and antenna. This 300H is a restored local award winner and is on display at the California Automobile Museum in Sacramento, California. The 1962 sticker price on this "Bankers Hot Rod" was over $5,600. My asking price is well below the value listed in the "Old Cars Report Price Guide" and reflects the facts that the A.C. system is not currently working, the heater valve is stuck in the open position and the tachometer has an erratic needle.
