For sale: 1978 Ford F-250 Custom. This is one of the nicest unmolested all original trucks I have ever seen from this era. This truck is almost all original from the AM radio to the wheels. It is powered by a 351M and a C6 tranny. The engine purrs at idle and the transmission shifts through all the gears just like it should. The owner told be the truck has only 107k on it, and while I can't verify that from the way it looks and drives that seems to be correct. The paint still shines up real nice and has minimal sun damage. My 1994 F250 dosent look nearly as good. All the gauges work like they should and the truck tracks down the freeway at 65mph just fine. All the door locks and windows work as well as the tailgate and lights. It has nearly new tires, and new shocks, gas tank, master cylinder and booster as well as a newer 2150 carburetor. It has the heavy duty Dana 60 rear end with what I would think is 3.50 or so gears. It runs on either gasoline or propane. I have always used gas, I have not used the propane setup, although it is clearly professionally installed, its just not my thing. I can't say it works although it looks like it should. I was going to take it out for a toolbox and just never did. There is NO RUST that I can find on the truck. The one picture I took of anything resembling rust is just surface rust, not anything through the sheet metal at all, just one spot at that that would be easy to fix. This was a Texas/Eastern New Mexico truck all its life I bought it from the second owner so rust is a non issue. Please keep in mind that this truck is 33 years old and has been used so its not showroom condition but it is a super nice truck that is all original so expect normal wear and tear items but obviously someone loved this truck for a lot of years. Also I'm driving it still so the mileage will vary a little bit. This is a no reserve auction and the truck is for sale locally so I reserve the right to end the auction at any time. I need a deposit of $500 within 24 hours of auction end (and I will do pay pal). I need the balance paid within 5 days of auction either cash or I can do pay pal, or bank check. I can help with shipping to a point, but I can't deliver it to Iowa or anything like that.
