Vehicle Detail
Partially restored 1980 Ford Mustang A very distinctive car the turns heads. Garaged since new! Been in my family since 1979. This example has the 3.3L straight 6 engine, a motor known for its long term reliability. Clean exterior: Repainted by Black & White Auto in Colorado Springs (over $4000). Premium paint in Midnight blue fine metallic that makes this car look superb! No dents except for small one near left rear tail light. Paint polished so that it has a gloss even without wax. Over $1000 set of SVT 93 Mustang wheels with Falken Cincera SN828 P255/55R16 tires purchased from The Tire Rack two years ago. Plenty of tread left New badges (Mustang color badge on hood, Mustang and Ford badges on rear) New front bumper (the original had some small rock pitting from Highway driving) Antenna removed and mounting point patched and painted (paint has a slight color difference in the sun in this area and is not as smooth). Muffler replaced last year with a premium stainless steel exhaust tip (welded on). Partially restored interior: Sport 3 spoke steering wheel and black steering column cover from my 1982 Mustang. Much sportier than the stock blue vinyl wheel. Premium dash pad (metallic fiber type) Interior is in overall good condition. Rear seat cushion has a few split seams. No headliner (removed in preparation for replacement). Carpet in great condition in places, but worn in others. Carpet panel missing from passenger side door. Blue dash has a few small areas of chipped paint. Two large bottles of matched custom paint included which can be used to touch up or repaint the entire dash. Window glass: Windshield has a 12 inch long crack on the driver's side. Passenger side door window shattered by a golf ball. Replacement side door window included. Mounting can be done by an auto window glass company for approximately $90. The blue STEALTH 30 window tint can be restored for approximately $35. Otherwise, glass is in good condition and tinting is excellent. Car runs well and has never failed to start. Thermostat may need to be replaced (car can run hot in hot weather if caught in a traffic jam). Odor of gas at times a short time after shutoff (no odor during longer periods). T-handle shifter button jammed, but it is possible to shift without pushing the button. Left tail light lens has a damaged portion (I have an extra right tail light lens in new condition, which I will include). An excellent value for the price! You don't see too many examples of this type of car in this great a condition. Contact: Robertm2157@yahoo.com CAR SOLD AS IS. NO WARRANTIES
