Vehicle Detail

You are viewing a 1966 Pontiac GTO 2 door hardtop. This is a project vehicle. There is no motor or transmission. It does have a 12 bolt Chevrolet rearend. It is a rolling chassis with lots of good usuable parts. The vehicle comes with a good open South Carolina title. It is PHS verified. It came from the factory with paint code C which is white. The restro books show it to be Cameo Ivory. It had 221 code interior which is Fawn or light brown. It was originally equipped with a YS code 389 and automatic transmission. Sometime in its life it was converted to 4 spd. Factory tach and gauges were also added. The 4 speed pedals are still present as are the tach and guages. It has a 4 speed console of average condition. It has a couple of small holes drilled into the top where something was mounted at one time.Overall the vehicle is quite rusty. There is rust in the usual places and heavy in spots. Someone started to repair the driver side front fender. They cut the lower bottom off but never welded on the new replacement. The new replacement piece comes with the car. It retails for 79.00. Also included are new replacement panels for the rear quarter panels. They retail for 69.00 each. There is also misc chrome trim to include the wheel well trim, front and rear window trim, deck lid chrome etc. The drivers side vent glass was broken during the cars transport from S/C. I have an extra one which comes with the car. I also lost the rear window on this trip. The remaining glass is intact and looks good. All window tracks are in place. It was pouring rain there and back and I didn't even realize they were damaged or missing until I got home. The photos show the extreme rust. I also photographed the good usuable parts I have put on the car. The car was disassembled when I bought it and I have put it back together for transporting purposes only. I have added many nice parts to include taillights, good usuable bucket seats as well as a good usuable set of rear seats and grillls. The grills are as good as you are going to find used. This vehicle still retains its VIN and trim data tag. This may be a better candidate for a clone or race car. All floor boards and trunk floor are bad. The deck lid is junk. I do have a nice one I will include though. Most of the original wiring is in place and appears ok. The frame appears to have rust scale but no major rust through. I made this determination when loading and unloading the vehicle. The front and rear suspension appear ok and mostly original. I bought this car to obtain a motor which came with it. It was not the original motor however. I have set a very low reserve. I will assist in loading the vehicle and can bring the car to a local truck stop near Lebanon Mo if a commercial hauler is used. Please ask any and all questions. I will respond in a rapid manner. I would like to sell the car and will do everything on my end to make this a pleasant and rewarding experience for the buyer. I will be available to assist the buyer. I would prefer to not use paypal except for a 500.00 non refundable deposit within 48 hrs of auctions end. The final payment needs to be made within l0 days of auctions end and the vehicle can remain at my location for up to 3 months if necessary.
