I am selling my 1962 Mercury Monterey 4dr sedan. I am the 4th owner of this car. It has a 352fe engine and a 3 speed automatic. I have installed an Edelbrock RPM performer intake and Edelbrock 600cfm carb. I also installed a MSD distributor, ignition, and spark plug wires. I replaced the stock air cleaner and valve covers with chrome Edelbrock ones. The car has the factory under dash a/c, but the compressor isn't hooked up. It just needs some freon and it should work just fine. It has dual glasspacks and bellflower tips. I have new 14" U.S. supreme wheels with new Hankook tires. I have Stewart Warner oil pressure and temp guage mounted under the dash. The car runs good. I drive it about twice a week to and from work or around town. The transmission shifts fine. Sometimes its slow to crank, but once it is, it runs good. The body is straight except a small dent in the left front fender and was semi fixed by the 2nd owner. The floor pans and trunk floor is surprisingly solid for a 48 year old car. Its never been wrecked. The car has power steering. The power steering pump leaks a little. I have a seal kit to rebuild the pump that will go with the car as well as a new battery tray. The interior is really good with with only a couple of tears on the top of the rear seat. The dash and door panels are good. The headliner is good except for one small hole above the drivers door. This car would make a great lowrider or custom with very little work or could be driven just as it is. I get looks everywhere I go.
