This is a great running and driving 1984, Mercedes, 300 turbor diesel, very rare to find, wagon. The glass is all great, no cracks, no chips to note. The carpet is good, there is a little discoloration from sun and age, but overall, good. The seats are in great shape, I don't see any tears. The dash has some cracks, but it is not terrible and easily covered with a dash mat. The wood trim is beautiful and in place. The heater, defroster works well. I have been driving this to work, I work about an hour from my home, the turbo WORKS, it wants to skoot down the road. It is fun to drive and it runs and drives well, the motor is strong. The rear wiper does too as do the regular wipers with intermittent setting. The lights, lenses, and turn signals work great, the fog lights work well too, high beam, low beam, all in good working order, again, the lenses, even the taillight lenses are in good condition. The rear defrost works. It has a manual sunroof that has no sign of leaking, it is tight. The seats are manually adjustable, in the front and they have wonderful headrests. The rear seats do not have the headrest but the seats are in great shape and they do fold down to allow cargo to be carried. The back hatch opens, closes, stays opens with good shocks, and latches and locks without issue. It has a wonderful chrome luggage rack on the top of the wagon. The back glass is good. The grill and hood are in good order, opening, staying open and closing soundly.The tires are in excellent condition with good tread and mounted on stock Mercedes wheels. The spare is in place, it is missing the stock medical kit. The reason this has a insurance payout is the passenger rear was damaged, causing the door to be a snug fit so the passenger rear door has to be firmly shut to close, if you have someone who can give a little pull, it would be great. The car still tracks well down the road and runs and drives excellent, very peppy 5 cylinder turbo diesel. The rear leveller and ride seem to be great, it is very comfortable and smooth. The power windows work great but the front passenger and drivers side rear do not work, someone said to check the fuse, I have not had a chance but will do that and post if it corrects the issue. The battery seemed like it was being drained and the shop could not figure out what was draining it and did not have lots of money to put into finding out what it was so there is a shut off switch on the battery, which is no longer needed THE STEREO WAS BAD AND HAS BEEN REMOVED WHICH WAS THE ELECTRICAL ISSUE, now there is no need to use the shut off switch. The car draws point 06 when not running... when you park you turn the red knob and it shuts off the connection to the battery, so, it can't drain it. The motor is very good, runs strong. The speedometer, trip meter work and rpm guage, however, the odometer is not working, it is close I believe to the miles noted, however, exempt on miles due to age and odometer not working. These have a great reputation for being durable, dependable, cars that run well into the hundreds of thousands of miles. This is running on regular diesel but could be converted to bio-diesel or veggie oil easily. I believe there are tax credits available for this. This is being sold as is, where is, so transporting the car or picking it up, is up to you. It is available for inspection if you like. 500.00 deposit is due upon agreement of price and the balance within 7 days of agreement in the form of cashiers check, money order, or possibly paypal, depends on the price becaus paypal charges a fee on the money to me.
