With a Carroll Shelby signed glovebox door, including the Serial Number. IMPORTANT DETAILS: YES - The K-Code Vin on the 289 Hi-PO Motor has been Shelby Verified by SAAC. Yes - the Engine Vin Matches the Shelby Serial Number (Vin) Tag on Car. Yes - the Vin Tag Matched the Title. Yes - she is Titled as a "1966 Ford" (as all 66 Shelbys) with her Shelby Vin SFMS1545 on the title. The Title is a Clear Texas Bonded Title. It seems that every Shelby has its own unique history and this car is no exception. I have seen Shelby GT350 cars in a total mess with no motors and partial body’s sell in the 30k, unrestored with non-numbers matching motor GT350 sell in the 80K range and the very rare never been altered out of someone’s Grandmothers garage bring 250K. Your offer will need to be the judge on were you feel this one falls, this is NO RESERVE auction and High Bidder Gets it. HISTORY ON THIS SHELBYS: Based on communication with the SAAC Registry. This Shelby GT350 started out as a Candy Apple Red, Automatic, and Painted Magnum 500 Wheels with No Stripes. Production on this Shelby was between allot of Hertz cars, that may have something to do with the automatic and wheels...who knows. SCCA shows that this car had had many owners up to the mid 80s and I had found out in research that at one point she was a thieft recovery car that was away from the public for 20+ years. Based on my personal research and inspection I also found that this Shelby may have been raced in her past. Original Racing options on this car was a Original Ford Cobra High Performance Tri-Power setup, Roller-Rockers, a Curry Upgraded 9” Rear Axle, a Borg Warner T-10 4 Speed Transmission with a High Performance Clutch, Real 10 Spoke Shelby Wheels and Radio Delete. During her current restoration all of thease options stayed on the car. BODY - She has been in an accident or two; maybe from racing or not, she shows that body parts and front core support and inner fenders have been replaced, you can tell this was done (30?) years ago since the metal was used from another mustang and the body work looks a "much older" time frame (see last couple pictures). So the inner fender and core body work was untouched as we wanted to leave its history intact, not hiding the work or replacing it with aftermarket metal. Some people would just consider this as part of repair or restoration, or a partial re-body since the parts were core to the car. Also, the rear passenger quarter panel was also replaced, not knowing from what; but I would say it was at a different time then the front work; becouse new re-production metal was used. Now amazingly a few of her important Shelby parts are still original and were kept that way; her Gas cap, Rear Emblem and hood, thease are some parts that are usualy lost, removed or damaged. RESTORATION DETAILS: This Car was a complete disassembled restoration and painted her original Candy Apple Red Color. She has all New Authorized correct Ford Wiring, All New Fuel System, All New Show Correct Shelby Exhaust with H-Pipe, Correct Primer Red Undercarriage, Suspension Restoration and All New Brake System including correct Master Cylinder and all new Lines. Radiator installed is a "Northern Brand" Aluminum Radiator. She does still has her Original Fan Blade. New Correct Red Koni Gas Shocks, Side Stripes are even Authorized SCC GT350 Stripes and MUCH MORE to list. SHELBY FACTS TO THIS CAR: To cut cost, in the Mid and Late Production 66 Shelby GT350s, Shelby did not have the T-Style Cobra Oil Pan or the Side Scoop Holes from rear Brake Cooling and the Rear Torque Reaction Bars went to below the Axle, this Shelby is Correct to those items. BONUS: Carroll Shelby has also signed the Glove Box door and has included the Shelby Serial Number with his signature. I have also spoken with the VP of Sales at Shelby America and they have offered to produce a 2011 Shelby GT350 with the same serial number as this car to the new owner of this car. That offer would only be valid within a reasonable amount of time. The commitment is verbal and working on getting a letter that goes with the car to the commitment. With a Carroll Shelby signed glovebox door, including the Serial Number. IMPORTANT DETAILS: YES - The K-Code Vin on the 289 Hi-PO Motor has been Shelby Verified by SAAC. Yes - the Engine Vin Matches the Shelby Serial Number (Vin) Tag on Car. Yes - the Vin Tag Matched the Title. Yes - she is Titled as a "1966 Ford" (as all 66 Shelbys) with her Shelby Vin SFMS1545 on the title. The Title is a Clear Texas Bonded Title. It seems that every Shelby has its own unique history and this car is no exception. I have seen Shelby GT350 cars in a total mess with no motors and partial body’s sell in the 30k, unrestored with non-numbers matching motor GT350 sell in the 80K range and the very rare never been altered out of someone’s Grandmothers garage bring 250K. This Shelby GT350 started out as a Candy Apple Red, Automatic, and Painted Magnum 500 Wheels with No Stripes. Production on this Shelby was between allot of Hertz cars, that may have something to do with the automatic and wheels...who knows. SCCA shows that this car had had many owners up to the mid 80s and I had found out in research that at one point she was a thieft recovery car that was away from the public for 20+ years. Based on my personal research and inspection I also found that this Shelby may have been raced in her past. Original Racing options on this car was a Original Ford Cobra High Performance Tri-Power setup, Roller-Rockers, a Curry Upgraded 9” Rear Axle, a Borg Warner T-10 4 Speed Transmission with a High Performance Clutch, Real 10 Spoke Shelby Wheels and Radio Delete. During her current restoration all of thease options stayed on the car. BODY - She has been in an accident or two; maybe from racing or not, she shows that body parts and front core support and inner fenders have been replaced, you can tell this was done (30?) years ago since the metal was used from another mustang and the body work looks a "much older" time frame (see last couple pictures). So the inner fender and core body work was untouched as we wanted to leave its history intact, not hiding the work or replacing it with aftermarket metal. Some people would just consider this as part of repair or restoration, or a partial re-body since the parts were core to the car. Also, the rear passenger quarter panel was also replaced, not knowing from what; but I would say it was at a different time then the front work; becouse new re-production metal was used. Now amazingly a few of her important Shelby parts are still original and were kept that way; her Gas cap, Rear Emblem and hood, thease are some parts that are usualy lost, removed or damaged. RESTORATION DETAILS: This Car was a complete disassembled restoration and painted her original Candy Apple Red Color. She has all New Authorized correct Ford Wiring, All New Fuel System, All New Show Correct Shelby Exhaust with H-Pipe, Correct Primer Red Undercarriage, Suspension Restoration and All New Brake System including correct Master Cylinder and all new Lines. I had information that to cut cost this option was deleted in mid production. I also heard this was not true . Either way, reproductions are easily available. Also....The side air scoops are functional on the car.
