Vehicle Detail
I bought this Mountaineer for my wife and two kids just over a year ago, I've just bought her a new Highlander which is why we're selling. As you'll see in the history, before we bought this car it was involved in a low-speed accident. Before buying this and putting my family in it, I had it fully inspected by an independent mechanic and there is no structural damage. We've driven it now for 10,000 miles over the past year and it has been perfect. My wife takes our kids, and our friends' kids to school every day in it, and we've driven up to LA and back a couple of times, and we've had trouble-free motoring for that whole time. This is a really solid car, very safe, and great to drive. It has the third 3rd row seats, so seven 7 seats in all. They all fold flat lugging bulky cargo, and each of the three seats in the 2nd row folds independently for a range of cargo/passenger options. It also has all the luxury extras you find in the Mountaineer: dual zone climate control, cruise control, remote keyless entry, perforated leather seats all round, 6-way power front seats, dual memory function for drivers seat, heated front seats, adjustable pedals, HomeLink remote system, auto sensing headlights, roof racks, tow package, running boards, alloy wheels, rear glass hatch, antilock brakes, and plenty more. As you'd expect with any car of this age, it has normal wear and tear. There's typical wear and tear on the seats, but no rips or stains. The stereo controls on the steering wheel don't work, and there are a few minor nicks and scratches here and there in the paintwork, but no rust - it's all cosmetic. No BS here - the Kelly Blue Book says around $7500 for this car in good condition, just doing a Carfax estimate here you take off about $300 for a low-speed crash, and another $150 for so many owners, that puts a pretty decent estimate on valid at around $7000. Recent ebay closes have the market somewhere between $5000 and $6500. All of that spells a huge bargain for the right bidder. We just need to sell it quickly because we need to pay some money down on the Highlander. We have no reserve, so make a bid, get a great car at a great price. On Nov-23-10 at 08:51:16 PST, seller added the following information: The Mountaineer had it's 95,000 mile service a few months ago (I can provide the details from the mechanic). It has also had two new Dunlop tires fitted to the front just over a month ago.
