The current owner has had the car for 11 years and not long after taking ownership he began what was to be a complete ground-up restoration. The car was completely disassembled to a rolling chassis. The body was stripped to bare metal and finished in eye catching Gunmetal Gray Metallic. The undercarriage was cleaned then epoxy coated. Includes all new tires, new brakes, new suspension, new polyurethane bushings, new exhaust, new Pertronix electronic ignition and more. It is powered by its 2.4L Inline-6 (orignial block). The engine and transmission have been completely gone through and have less than 1k miles since being rebuilt. The transmission is an upgraded 5 speed manual. The car starts right up with no hesitation and idles just as it should. The transmission shifts through all gears smoothly. What's left to be completed: Both seats need to be reupholstered. As you can see from the photos, the interior is primarily all original with the exception of new carpeting and padding. The headliner (new) and some interior pieces near the kick panels need to be installed. The front and rear bumpers need to be cleaned and installed. Emblems and other misc little things need to be installed and are included. Everything you see in the last three pictures comes with the car; original radio, service manuals, additional rubber and weather stripping, headliner, interior pieces, emblems and other misc parts. Also included is a triple Weber manifold and a fuel injection setup from a 280. It is mostly finished but needs to be taken to that next level to be completed. The owner just doesn't have the time or space to complete this project which is why he is selling it. As it sits, he has over $13k invested into the car so far. His loss is your gain. If you are looking for a 240 but don't want to pay the money for a fully restored car, this would be a good candidate as the majority of the major work has been completed.
