I am thinning out my collection of rare and collectable motorcycles to help put my daughter through college. I am offering my favorite bike for sale. This 1990 Honda GB 500 is a tribute bike to the older British Matchless Cafe road racers. The Cafe road racers are becoming more popular and increasing in value all the time. It has the Matchless logos on the tank which are under the professionally painted tank. It even has a Matchless keychain that was made in England. The bike has a White Brothers 600 bigbore kit with the flatside 41mm Mikuni carb and K/N filter. It has a aftermarket exhaust. I do not have the original pipes for the bike. The bike is in great condition. I recently went thru the carb and cleaned and adjusted it. The only bad spot on the entire bike is on the rear of the front fender where the fender hit the exhaust pipe in a pothole. The rims are in great shape with brand new bridgestone battleax tires front and rear that have only 117 miles on them. This bike is ready to show or ride. In fact the last ride I took it on was to the world famous Dragon and had a blast with it. My friend was surprised that I could keep up with him! Bid with confidence. No disapointments here. The electric starter works perfectly as does the kick starter. Alot of these bikes you will find that the electric starter does not work. I have the original owners manual and tool kit for the bike also. My research on these bikes says these bikes where only sold in the US for 89 and 90 and only about 2000 were inported to the US for sale. These GB's are getting more rare each year and were way before their time in the US market. This bike is a blast to ride and gets attention everywhere I take it.
