Vehicle Detail
This is a perfect example of a meticulously maintained 1964 Pontiac Catalina Ventura. This vehicle was assembled in California at the Southgate plant and purchased new by a distant relative of mine. At one point in the 70s my Cousin took ownership of the car. She has always been a "Car" girl and takes excellent care of her small fleet of automobiles. I can remember how much fun I had riding to school a few times in this car as a young boy. For a car produced in the early sixties it is rather well equipped. I will start with the fun stuff! 389 Cubic inch V8, Two barrel carburator, Three speed automatic transmission, Power steering, Power brakes, Power windows, Power seat, Air conditioning, Am radio, Tilt steering wheel, Body side mouldings, Fifteen inch wheels and tires, Full size spare. This car is mostly stock as that is the way my cousin wanted it. It was repainted once in 1994 by C.A.R.S. in Southern California at a cost of $4500.00 and still shows rather well. The seats were professionally recovered in 1995 by Sasonas custom upholstery in Burbank at a cost of $1661.00. An electronic ignition system was installed. I replaced the tires with new Firestone radials last year. I also replaced the factory exhaust system with a dual flowmaster system. Other than these few items this Catalina is Stock. When I mentioned that this car has been meticulously maintained that may have been an understatement. I have reciepts for maintainance for the last fifteen years totaling $39,419.00. I can not possibly go through the whole stack but I will mention a few of the big ticket items. The engine was rebuilt by Precision Auto Service at a cost of $9048.00 in October of 2005. The Transmission was rebuilt by the Transmission Man at a cost of $4022.00 in March of 2008. This car drives and rides very nice. I drive it once a week or so and get thumbs up and smiles every time. "CAUTION" Please do not bid on this car if you do not enjoy attention. I have owned this car for a year or so and know it rather well. The lights and turn signals all function properly. All of the power windows operate perfect. The car accelerates with ease and shifts through the gears perfect. The brakes are smooth and firm. I must mention a few problem areas. The wipers do not work properly. The lighter does not work. The air conditioning does not work. (Everything is there. May need a reseal and a charge). There are some bubbles in the paint in a few areas. Left front fender and right rear fender. All of the exterior trim is present and shows well. However this is a 46 year old car and there is some slight pitting. The following link is a Video Walk Around of my 1964 Catalina for your enjoyment. If you would like to talk to me about the car or ask a question please do not hesitate to call me. My name is Bryan. 702-335-3094 This is a "No Reserve Auction. This Car Is Selling To The Highest Bidder. Please ask any and all questions before you bid. The Pontiac is located in the Southeast Part of Las Vegas.
