Up for auction is this 1969 Plymouth Road Runner. This is a no reserve auction and the vehicle will sell to the highest bidder. I will add 24 photos on Thursday 11/4/10 and there will be a total of 50 photos on our website walterauto.com This is a solid southern car with only very minor rust issues and will make someone a nice restoration project. The majority of work has been completed leaving pretty much the body and paint work left. The interior has recently been restored professionally including the headliner, seats, dash, carpet and door panels. It just needs a little work around the sail panels (see pics). The lights, wipers and heater all work and the car is 100% driveable as is. The car has a 440 big block that starts right up and runs excellent (no smoke and no rattles here). It has a 4 speed transmission that shifts perfect and has a nice tight hurst shifter. The undercarriage, rockers, doors, fenders, floor pan, and frame is solid. The right rear quarter panel has a small rust hole and is dented behind the wheel opening and the left rear quarter panel has some bondo from a previous dent (see pics). The entire trunk area is solid, but appears to have been repaired in the center some time ago. The exhaust is new and the gas tank is new. It has good matching tires and the brakes seem to work well. The glass and trim are all in really good condition and the bumpers are decent but if you want to make it pefect you could have them re-chromed.
