1968 Ford Mustang Convertible C code Automatic Here is a beautiful 68 Mustang Convertible. It has been very well maintained. Engine and transmission rebuilt, interior redone and painted all within the last 6-8 yrs and shows very nicely. 443-496-0701 - For sale locally so auction may end at anytime. The Good - Floor pans, torque boxes and frame rails and trunk drop downs and extensions are perfect with no rust or undercoating - Original and rebuilt 289 C CODE engine rebuilt. Less than 10k miles - - Original C code car and motor- Dash, Door and Title VIN matches - The engine bay is really clean except for air cleaner and valve cover chrome which was cheap aftermarket chrome and has started to surface rust. No big deal. - Comes with new rear window plastic which needs sewed in BUT the top has 2 small rips. - Radio work and all lights work - Power top works great - Good runner and nice wheels - New exhaust has a nice rumble to it - New exhaust. - Front end has been rebuilt. - Power Steering - No bondo I can find. - The underside is very clean and didn’t see any rust - New floor pans at some point and a neatly done job - Automatic transmission rebuilt - Beautiful and rare Shiney Maroon re-paint of original color with 2 small bubbles on trunk lip - Top has 2 small rips and the rear window plastic is missing however comes with a new one int he trunk - Interior is like new and very clean - Brakes rebuilt - Interior upholstery, carpet, door panels and rocker trim is all new. - All chrome bumpers are great except for vent windows. They are starting to pit a little. - The body is super straight - No sag in the doors and no ripples looking down it. - All frame work looks great. - The trunk is clean, you may want to spray that speckle trunk paint to coat it all evenly, - The car starts up on the first try, drives straight as an arrow and stops on a dime. Likes to start in neutral more then drive. Might have a bad safety switch on trans or linkage may need adjusted (cheap) - The Mustang has great acceleration and I would not hesitate driving it across the country – drive it home! - No leaks or smoke from the car ever - All gauges, lights and factory radio work. - Windshield wipers work great - Nice mag wheels however not authentic to Mustangs - Door hinge pins have been replaced and the door shut and align perfectly - All body lines and gaps are excellent - The convertible top frame work is perfect no rust, is electric and goes up and down effortlessly - All windows go up and down with ease - All chrome is in B- to A+ condition with exception to the front vent window chrome - Heater box has been replaced - Trunk extensions and drop downs are perfect - Relatively clean engine bay. I’d suggest cleaning it up and installing new air cleaner and valve covers Minor Needs - Small scratch at bottom of drivers door. May buff out - Dash pad has a split directly in middle - Someone started to install wood grain decal on dash and didn’t finish.
