1974 VW Super Beetle • Original orange paint • Odometer 60700 • 95% rust free frame (some surface rust but overall not too bad)-bonus! this is a hard thing to find! • Good bumpers w/all trim in place • Driver side rear and fender dent • Good glass (left window regulator is bad {slips} and needs help to roll up)-- will need a new windshield, cracked while sitting for sale • Interior is decent and looks ok but is original and old- ceiling has some tears • Transmission (4 speed) is a bit noisy but shifts good in all gears, including reverse and does not grind up-shifting or downshifting • Engine starts and runs good (is a 1970 single port 1600cc stock engine) but has oil leak that requires topping off with oil (probable oil cooler leak), and the carburetor needs some work, you have to keep your foot on the gas to keep it going • Has Petronix electronic ignition system for great starting and “no points or timing” to worry about • Tires are good • Brakes good w/solid pedal pressure and hand brake works • Lights all work but turn signals do not cancel • Fuel gauge does not work (in town can get around 170 miles on a tank) • Fan still blows great (rare for this to still be working this great) • Wipers and washers work fine, but slow as old bugs do • Heater works great, make that AWESOME!!!! • Newer cd stereo- only rear speakers wired (seem to have a short near speaker boxes) • Bra • Map light • Recently passed safety inspection (05/05/2010 @ 60567 miles)all 15 items passedleft front brake measure:4/32left rear brake measure: 4/32plate brake not testedtinting: windshield luminance 72%front right luminance 66%front left luminance 66%test time 2 minutes 24 seconds***please email with any question and we will get back with you******* WE HAVE THIS LISTED LOCALLY, AND THEREFORE IF WE GET AN OFFER SOONER THAN AUCTION END, WE MAY END AUCTION EARLY****BUYER PAYS FOR ALL SHIPPING COSTS.BUYER WILL ARRANGE FOR THE SHIPPING.
