Turn key driver, ready to roll. Disk brakes. Last of the upright 1600 engines. Instead of setting a reserve price, I have set the starting bid to what such price would be. 1971 original color Sierra Yellow Westfalia. DENT FREE. Originally delivered to Denmark, Copenhagen. Special paint code: 523184 L11H (Rare color for early bays). Paint and interior are OEM spec. 105.350 original miles. Drives great. No Funky smells! Interior is stunning. Early Westy stool, spare tire cover, curtains with sliders and sliding door side step. All wood paneling is gorgeous. Perfect dash. Perfect seat stand mats and wrap arounds. External electricity plug-in cord included. Tow hitch. Original key works all locks. Locking deck lid. Fresh weatherstripping all around. New top seals. Fiberglass is pristine. All doors open and close very well. New wiper blades. All electronics work, even door/key buzzer. CD player. OE owners manual. Spare with OE spare strap. Two jacks included. Canvas, over head cot and 'childrens' cot are in superb shape. Fabric is very healthy and almost perfect!!. Sink and ice box work and are super clean. Front seats are superb. Upholstery looks great. All cushions are supple and firm. Sink pumps water and tank is very clean. Bumpers are very straight. Few bubble rust spots in paint. Bubbles are surface and have not rusted through anywhere. All floors, rockers, gutters, nose (perfect), torsion tubes, jack points, battery trays, gutters, are A++. Brand new brakes as of 10/16/10, all German (New rotors, ATE drums, ATE pads, shoes, front and rear rubber hoses, calipers with new hardware, front metal lines, rear wheel cylinders (Brazil), brake fluid flushed). Stops on a Dime!!!! Original AE 1600DP engine runs strong (Has been rebuilt). 1.5 QT deep sump. Brand new valve covers and bails. CDI unit for hotter spark. OE Vacuum advance distributor with new points and condenser. New oil. 8mm spark plug wires. Brand new generator brushes. OEM oil bath air cleaner. Charcoal canister plumbed correctly. Brand new fuel lines throughout. New Vacuum lines. Clean gas tank. Trans shifts great. Brand new trans oil. Bus is very smooth to drive. Compliments every time I drive it. Attn: Trans pops out of gear when downshifting into 2nd gear. It only pops out on the initial clutch release. I hold the shifter when I down shift into 2nd and once the clutch is released the gear holds in place. It does not happen when up shifting at all. Could be a matter of adjusting the linkage, and or, changing the trans fluid. The rear side vent window on the left is missing the bottom tab that goes into the window frame. The vent window stays put when locked. Clean California title in hand. Registered until June/2011. Great opportunity to own a very well kept, unmolested, rare color, early bay Westfalia.
