You are bidding on a Full Camper Westfalia - Syncro with All Wheel Drive / 4 wheel drive. This camper is in excellent mechanical and aesthetic condition inside and out. It is a metallic blue exterior with the grey interior package which is rare if not unfound in '86 model years as brown interiors were the most common if not the only option available. All the seats are in great condition as is the carpet, dash, and cabinetry. All the appliances work although the fridge is pretty difficult to get the pilot light lit. The cabinet over the rear lower bed is missing it's door and the cab opening has been made larger, but other than that, everything is tip top. There are two speakers up there next to the opening. The bus does not have AC, but does have both front and rear heat. All the lights inside - like the dome light, the dash lights and the vanity light work. Even the locking rear differential indicator light works. The transmission is a standard with 4 gears plus granny and reverse. There is a locker for the rear differential that is priceless if ever put in a precarious position off road. The transmission was rebuilt about 24k miles ago and there was a new GoWesty 2.3l engine installed about 44k miles ago. The bus has the GoWesty 16" tire and wheel package with the super sweet wheels as seen in the images. KYB shocks were installed about 5k miles ago as were rear shoes and rear bearings. The only thing this bus needs immediately is new tires. They are beat, although it comes with a full size spare. The spare is the stock wheel - not a GoWesty wheel. The paint job is in excellent condition. There is a small set of scratches on the passenger side mirror, that is all. The bus had a windows out paint job at some point in it's life as the title search is showing that the bus is brown. The title search also indicates there is a stock engine in the bus. This is not so. The tent has been replaced just before summer and it is the 3 panel style and is in excellent condition despite the 2 tiny holes that the painters put way up under the shell. They are not a problem and I would not think they would be any type of issue in weather - I have never gotten the canvas wet - so there is no mildew no stank, no stains at all associated with the canvas. It is in like-new condition except for the two little holes. There are no broken or cracks in any of the windows - there are a few little nicks in the tint here and there, however. The front driver and passenger doors lock as does the cargo door, however, the rear hatch door does not lock - I assume this could be a simple fix at NAPA, but I've just never gotten around to do it. I did just replace one of the struts to hold up the rear hatch. The front seats both have the swivel option and I have the back table, but do not have the front table or stand. The bus also has a 205 watt solar system that is an excellent addition to any westy. It has a large panel up top mounted with wingnuts to a Thule rack system. The panel is removable so you can park the bus in the shad and there is 25' of solar cable to set the panel in the sun. It is attached to an MPPT charge controller that regulates the PV amps, battery amps and battery volts. This is attached to a 1 or 2 battery configuration and then feeds a Xantrex 1800 watt Sine Wave Inverter that produces super clean power for running whatever you wish to run.
