Vehicle Detail

I have a 1962 Studebaker GT Hawk for sale by the third owner. New Ermine white paint. This is a repaint of the original color. The interior is black. I restored this car in 1998 . At that time , I removed the fenders and doors and painted the inside of these panels with POR-15.This includes the vertical fender troughs, where most of the rust originates on these cars. I have known this car since I was a college student in 1971.I bought it from the second owner, in 1996. There are no rust issues with this car, and the car has been garaged. It was repainted in white clear base coat several weeks ago. The car has power steering , power brakes. automatic transmission, and air conditioning. The engine was replaced with a new short block from Newman and Altman 25 years ago.The engine has had around 35K miles added to it during these years. I can assure you that this car may be driven home by you, if you desire! This is a solid #2 car. You may call me if you have questions@ 205-799-9331. This has been an Alabama car since 1965. It has never been on a salted road! The winning bidder must deposit a $ 500.00 deposit within 24 hours using pay pal or overnight delivery. The balance will be due one week from the date of sale. Good luck bidding! A question has been asked regarding what appears to be a rectangular hole below the radio. This is the radio speaker. The four additional gauges in instrument cluster are, dwell , transmission temp., manifold pressure and manifold temp. A California dealer installed this instrument panel prior to my friend buying it from the Tuscaloosa Studebaker dealer in 1965. We believe it to be an export instrument panel. We have never seen one like it on another Hawk. It may have been specially ordered from South Bend.
