Ok here is one for you Classic Audi enthusiasts. I don't want to sell it but I just don't have the time to restore it like I wanted to. I have been looking for one of these cars for over 10 years and finally found one this summer and bought it thinking I would restore it and drive it for the next 10 years, but unfortunately my new job is going to take up all of my free time and I don't want this thing to sit outside for the winter. Car is a 1981 Audi 5000 Turbo, Black exterior and grey checked velour interior. It has 85,174 original miles. (see pic 6 digit odo. not 185k.) this is why I bought it. The car is in good shape for the age please see pics and ask any questions after you read the following discription. The good. 1. All original unmolested no accidents that I can see and no paint work. 2. Interior is all in very good shape including original floor mats. 3. 5 cyl turbo has good compression no noises or fluid leaks and the turbo has no shaft play or slop. 4. The trans shifts through all the gears. 5. A/C still works just needs to be charged to blow colder. 6. New plugs, cap and rotor The not so good. 1. the car runs rough and doesn't have the power it should, it could be a vacuum thing or a fuel thing I just don't know. But it does seem to have a miss. 2. The body does need some work as it has surface rust in several areas down low on the bottom of the doors and on the rockers but not all rusted through. 3. There are a couple of rust holes, one on the drivers side behind the rear tire down low and a couple just above the rear bumper. 4. Tail lights need a couple of new bulbs. 5. Drivers seat is torn on bottom (see pics) and one of the interior panels for the moon roof is missing. 6. needs new switches for all windows except the drivers. 7. needs new tires all around as old ones are dry rotted. All this being said this is a very cool and unique car that could be a real head turner with a little time from the right person. Contact me if you want additional information.
