This is a 68 VW Beetle with a 1972 type 3 dual port motor that has been totally rebuilt and upgraded to a 1641cc motor. The Transmission is brand new less than 2000 miles. All new parts!!! List of New parts: BRAKES, BRAKE LINES, ROTORS ON FRONT UPGRADE, LOWERED FRONT SPINDLE, ALL NEW WIRING, NEW DRUMS IN REAR AND ALL NEW BEARINGS, NEW MASTER CYLINDER, CLUTCH, PRESSURE PLATE, THROW OUT BEARING THE WORKS! ONE PIECE FRONT WINDOWS, NEW INTERIOR, REPLACED FLOOR PANS WITH TRIPLE COAT OF POR 15 AND RUBBERIZED SOUND DEADENING, NEW HEATER CHANNELS, THERE ARE SEVERAL OTHER PARTS IF YOU CAN THINK OF IT I HAVE REPLACED IT! Comes with extra carburetors, steel rims (already sand blasted and primed & look very nice!), rims on it are the Porsche Riviera Originals! These are collectors! They usually sell at $200 or so per rim! Concerns with Car: About a month ago my rear wheel fell off and did not clear the fender. Damage is minor but can be repaired for under $100. Damage is on both sides. The paint job is recent but has some blemishes due to lack of garage. Car also needs an alignment roughly$40-80 at a local garage. Reason for Selling: The reason this car is leaving my possession is that there is my family is getting needing another car to be a daily driver through the winter months and we are moving to a colder state within the next year. I have driven the car all summer and it has not seen snow since the rebuild. Ran well the other day. I replaced the distributor this week and had the carb tuned in by a VW mechanic. I need to give my baby up, so i can take care of my family better. I'm asking $3500 LOTS of extras with the car. All purchases and work on the car i have a record of. Car gets 25-28 mpg. And loves to drive at 75-80 MPH on the freeway!!! THIS IS A GREAT CAR AND I HATE TO SEE IT GO! PLEASE THIS CAR IS ONLY FOR THOSE WHO LOVE VOLKSWAGENS AND WILL TAKE CARE OF HER! She is old and as old cars go there is a daily tuning that goes along with it. I would suggest trailering this car home until you learn her ins and outs.
