1984 Volkswagen Rabbit L diesel, gets 50 mpg. 5 speed manual transmission. Original engine was swapped out with a fully rebuilt 1.6L long block diesel motor in July, 2009. At that time the timing belt, clutch, water pump, thermostat, and left front tie rod were all done as well. Less than 9k miles on the rebuilt motor (these little diesels will go forever too). 199K miles on the vehicle. Much more mechanical work done in the past year bringing it up to prime condition ($4k+ worth all in all). The interior has held up quite well, only issue is a few minor tears on the top of the back of the rear bench seat where the hot Colorado sun has beat down through the rear window. VERY minimal rust, I did my best to represent that in the photos. This Rabbit is in great shape, you just don't see these anymore! (especially in this condition). This is a GREAT buy, I already have another vehicle and had to make the choice between the two in order to just plain get by. I am selling reluctantly; it's an awesome little car!
