ENJOY LIFE!! DRIVE A CONVERTIBLE!! Up for NO RESERVE AUCTION is this very beautiful 1983 Mercedes 380 SL. Only 140000 original miles! That’s an average of only 5200 miles a year its whole life. Most SL’s of this vintage have over 200000 but this little beauty has been used sparingly all its life. Lovingly cared for by its female owner for many years, it is in very beautiful condition. In the same family since new, sold on July 4th, 1983 at Smythe European in San Jose California, it has always been in California, so no rust ever. Just about everything on this car is original, from the paint to the interior. Driver's seat shows the most wear with a couple of cracks taped over, and the dash has a couple of cracks. Spare tire never used. The paint is very nice, it has hardly any nicks, dents or scratches. It comes with its window sticker from new ($44,286.00), Owners Manual and Maintenance Booklet showing all services from new, the metal owners tag, and top handles. If you have ever owned one of these fine automobiles, you know how wonderful they are. Just running around town is fun, and a top-down ride on a beautiful day is pure pleasure! I have driven SL’s for 30 years, I can tell you, this is an extremely nice car. Hard top and soft top. The soft top was replaced a couple of years ago and is very good. All gauges work including the clock. Michelin tires have about 75% tread life. The A/C compressor doesn’t engage, but the heater works fine. Becker radio not working. If you have ever wanted an SL of this vintage but don’t want to nurse a worn-out car then this is the car for you! 140000 miles are nothing to a good well-cared-for Mercedes, and it would be hard to find one better cared for than this one. 380 SL’s are my favorite because they are powerful and smooth but will get up to 25mpg! That’s amazing for a car like this. Not a 100 point show car, but a car you will be proud to drive and own. Drive this beauty every day for the price of a used Camry. Clear California title.
