Sporty, low mileage 1962 Thunderbird up for auction with NO RESERVE, bid early and often! Well, it's time to let her go. Bought about a year and a half ago from an older man who had it garaged since the mid 90's & owned it since 1982. The mileage is original as far as I know. He'd start her up every now and then until the battery went dead then didn't touch the car for about 5 years. I got it running, did brake and fuel lines, wheel cylinders, master cylinder, carb rebuild, tuneup, radiator recored, etc, and drove for about a month when the tranny started slipping. Found a shop that had a rebuilt tranny and had them install it. I've put on about 2500 miles on the 'Bird since then. At the end of the past summer I noticed the exhaust getting thick, like it was burning oil. From what I'm told the motor would be OK with doing the valve lifters or a top end rebuild (motor still in car) since the motor has so few miles on it. She runs, drives and stops but smokes so I would not recommend driving any distance. Swing-away steering wheel, power steering, brakes, working power driver's seat, all windows work except for passenger rear. Horn, dash lights, wipers, and all exterior lights work properly. interior is good, dash & door panels nice, seats are decent, couple of open seams on both front seats at top corner. Dual exhaust. Solid floors, trunk and frame as seen in the pix. Really a cool car but I don't have the patience or $$$ right now. 14" wheels with new Cooper tires & aftermarket hubcaps included, back on car now along with fender skirts. Skirts in good shape, not on car in the pix because they did not fit with the wider mag wheels.
