Vehicle Detail

2003 Oldsmobile Aurora 500 Collector's Edition It makes me proud yet sad to offer this 2003 Oldsmobile Aurora 500. This is number 110 of the last 500 Auroras ever made, and it is in exceptional condition. This is a 1 owner car, purchased new from a dealer in Mid Michigan August 11, 2003. The "Collector's Appreciation Package" is still in tact and in the orginal shipping package, and all items are in as good condition as the vehicle itself. The vehicle is all original, even the battery. There has been no modifications, additions or subtractions from the car. Not only is this one of the last Auroras made, it is one of the last Oldsmobiles ever made! Folks, this is truly a piece of American Automobile History as General Motors permanently closed the Oldsmobile Division just 1 year after this car rolled off the line. As I said, this car was bought new by a 66 year old grandmother, and most of the miles are highway miles from mid Michigan to the Chicago area and back to visit her kids & grandkids in college. It has been garaged most winters, and the rare times it did get used in the winter, the entire vehicle, including the undercarriage, was washed to remove any dirt or road salt. The lady is 73 now, and just bought a new vehicle, and did not want to trade this in as no dealer would give her anywhere near what the car is worth. The owner is not computer literate and does not own a computer at all, so she asked me to sell the vehicle for her. Please note the car was backed into in a parking lot. This car was parked and another car backed into it resulting in a minor paint scrape on rear bumper which was professionally repaired by the selling dealership. There was no major collision or repair work involved. The Auto Check Report shows that. General Motors (the old one) still operates a website just for these collectors edition cars. The link can be found here: http://www.oldsmobile.com/olds/collectors/aurora/overview.html A link to a PDF brochure of the vehicle can be found here: http://www.oldsmobile.com/olds/collectors/aurora/AuroraHeroCard.pdf And a PDF describing the "Collector's Appreciation Package" can be found here: http://www.oldsmobile.com/olds/collectors/aurora/ownerspack.pdf In 2008, one of these "Final 500" Auroras was sold at the world-famous Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Auction in Las Vegas for $22,000! That link can be found here: http://www.barrett-jackson.com/application/onlinesubmission/lotdetails.aspx?ln=737.1&aid=263&pop=1 As you can see, these vehicles are extremely rare, and to find one in such good shape from a non-collector is amazing. This vehicle has the 4.0 V8 (essentially the same motor as a Cadillac 32 valve NorthStar, although with a slightly smaller bore), auto trans. power locks, windows, heated leather seats with memory, Bose Premium Sound System, Power Sunroof, Homelink Transmitter (for opening garage door, etc.), Chrome wheels, Special 500 Edition badges on the engine, door sill plates, trunk lid, fenders, seats, even the center caps on the wheels. The only options that were available this car does not have is the Engine Block Heater. Other than that, it has everything else that was available on this vehicle. Type: Gas V8 Size: 4.0L/244 Horsepower: 250 @ 5600 RPM Torque: 260 @ 4400 RPM Front Wheel Drive Transmission: 4 speed Automatic w/OD Air Bag-Driver/Passenger-Front Air Bag-Side-Body-Front Brakes-Type-4 Wheel DISC Engine Immobilizer/Vehicle Anti-Theft System Headlights-Auto-Off/On Locks-Child Safety Rear Door Traction Control Air Cond-Dual Zone Front Auto Climate Control Cruise Control Keyless Entry Locks-Pwr Mirrors-Electrochromic Rearview Mirrors-Pwr Driver/Passenger Mirrors-Vanity-Driver/Passenger Illuminated Navigation System Reading Lamps-Front/Rear Seat-Leather-Power-Heated Driver/Passenger Seat-Rear Pass-Through w/ Arm Rest Seats-Front Bucket Steering Wheel-Tilt-Leather Wrapped w/ Audio Controls Steering-Pwr Trip Computer Trunk-Release-Remote Universal Garage Door Opener Windows-Pwr Audio-AM/FM Stereo-Cassette Player-12 Disc Remote CD Changer Bose Premium Audio Auxiliary Pwr Outlet Floor Mats-Front/Rear Defogger-Rear Window Fog Lamps-Front Mirrors-Heated Exterior Driver/Passenger Roof-Sun-Pwr Tilt/Sliding Wipers-Variable Speed Intermittent-Rain Sensing Tire Size: P235/55HR17 Wheels-Chrome Plated Aluminum This car has been meticulously maintained and serviced, and has most if not all service records, and the oil was changed religiously every 2,500-2,800 miles since day 1. It has also only been serviced at the original dealership. It also has the original window sticker, with a MSRP price of $39,995.00 Folks, this car must be seen to be appreciated. Words can not describe the tremendous condition this car is in. This number 110 of the "Final 500" Auroras ever built is the perfect addition to any collection or anyone else who will take great pride in ownership of such a piece of American Automobile History. Of course, serious bids only please. I will not accept bids from people with a feedback score of less than 3. This car runs (great I might add), and can be driven anywhere without any concern as to safety and reliability, although because it is in such tremendous shape, you may want to trailer it or have it hauled by a professional auto carrier. If you would like to see this car before bidding, I am willing to pick you up at MBS international airport in Saginaw, MI and bring you to town to inspect the car. Additionally, there are many reputable shops in the area if you wish to have the vehicle inspected, including the dealership that sold & serviced the car since day 1. Kelly Blue Book www.kbb.com says this car is worth at least $8,395 www.edmunds.com has it at $8,597 www.nadaguides.com (North American Dealer Association) has it listed for $9,125 However, a simple pricing guide can not take into account that the Collector's Appreciation Package, original window sticker and everything else is still in immaculate condition. In fact, the brass, numbered medallion from the package that was supposed to be put in the car was never applied, and the 3M automotive tape still has the protective backing on it. A $2,000 deposit is required within 48 hours after winning bid, and balance is required within 7 days. Pay Pal, cash or a certified cashier's check is the only forms of payment acceptable. No personal checks please. If you wish to put the purchase on a credit card, please do so through Pay Pal. I would consider delivering the vehicle within a 60 mile radius of 48706 for a nominal fee and gas expense, as long as I am provided a return trip home. Thank you for your consideration, good luck & happy bidding!
