This is a 1976 Ford F-600 truck with a military "duece and a half" bed that has been modified, and a 1200 gallon fiberglass water tank. Until recently it was in service as a water tender/tanker truck for a fire department, and has been removed from service. Some fire department emblems have been painted over. The 1200 gallon tank is a fiberglass tank with baffles, and a 10" newton dump valve. It has a 3" and a 1" pipe connection in the back where you could add a pump or other accessories. There is NO PUMP with the truck. Also all radios, lights, sirens, and related emergency equipment have been removed, although there is still a radio speaker in the cab. The water tank is in good shape and holds water (once you cap off the pipe connections). The dump valve dries out and dribbles for a week or two after it's been sitting dry, but once it re-saturates, it holds as well. The truck itself is in fair condition - it's a 34 year old truck that's had a long and useful life. The interior is fair, body isn't bad. The engine was replaced several thousand miles ago with a rebuilt crate motor. It is cold blooded, but then runs fine. It has passed annual DOT safety inspections, and those along with copies of maintenance records are included with the sale. Last inspection was late last fall, so almost a year ago. This would be a great work truck, useful for watering livestock, landscape work, construction, etc. Due to its age, it would not be recommended that it be placed back in service as an emergency vehicle. Buyer to pay $100 down via paypal within 24 hours of the close of the auction, and balance upon picking up the vehicle in the form of cash or money order. Vehicle to be removed within seven (7) days of the conclusion of the auction, or the county clerk has the right to void the bid and offer the vehicle to the next higher bidder. Seller has no obligation to secure, insure, or store the truck after the conclusion of the sale. Buyer is responsible for removal and any costs associated with shipping.
