Vehicle Detail

Offered is a 1997 Pontiac Grand Prix GT 4 door sedan. Overall the car is in fair condition. It currently has a valid PA inspection that is good until 05/11. I have owned the car since 6/07. In that time it has had regular maintenance and oil changes and many parts have been replaced at a professional repair shop. I do have the receipts for all the work done. The car runs and drives nice but it does have some issues. The major problem with the car is the transmission. The car will shift fine from first to second gear, but you have to get up to about 40 -45mph for it to shift from second to third gear. Once it does shift it runs fine. I don't know if there is an adjustment that can be made to the transmission or if the transmission needs to be rebuilt/replaced. The following is a list of the good and bad points about the car: GOOD POINTS: Brand new (installed 10/21/10) Interstate battery - Inspected until 5/11 - Pioneer Stero w/CD player - cold A/C & hot heat - power windows and door locks - new sway bar w/bushings - new rear sway bar link - new ignition switch - new serpintine belt and tensioner - new front rotors -new horns - new fuel cap - new coolant sensor - wheel alingment - 4 new tires. BAD POINTS: Although the car looks good in the pictures, the body has a lot of scratches, dings and dents. The car spent about two years in tight parking spots in Philadelphia so it has a lot of scars from being hit and bumped. The molding around the windshield is coming off in the upper drivers side corner, but does not leak. The headlights are fogged up and the lenses may need to be replaced, but you can still see fine when driving at night. The interior is worn, but there are no major rips or tears in the upholstery. I have tried to give an honest and accurate description of the car, but please email me with any questions you may have. I always tried to keep the car clean and mechanically sound, I just didm't have much control over the body when it was used in Philadelphia. The major issue with the car is the transmission. Hopefully someone who knows how to fix the transmission can use the car as I feel it still has a lot of life left in When sold, I request that the car be paid for either by Paypal or cash when picking it up. The buyer is also responsible for any and all taxes and transfer fees. The title must be transferred to the new buyers name. There is a notary right down the street so we can take care of that at the time of purchase. Again, if you have any questions please email me or I can be reached on my cell at 215-313-0331. Thanks for looking.
