This is an original complete 1959 Mercedes 220S, four door sedan. This Mercedes is a one owner car. Car has been in Mill Valley, CA since new. It was parked in the 1980's. In 2008 the car was trailered to Reno, NV where it sits covered. No attempt has been made to start or turn over the engine. The car has 182,670 miles on it. It includes service records for a number of years. It comes with the original sales catalog and owner's manuel. This car is sold as is where is. The buyer must arrange his/her own shipping. Required payment within 7 days of auction close.On Oct-19-10 at 07:17:28 PDT, seller added the following information:Looked under the removable vinyl trunk mat and it showed black paint and very little rust underneath. Right spare wheel well (with the wheel in it) showed only some surface rust at the bottom. The left wheel well had a wooden cover that is in good condition. The wheel well was clean. Tool roll was found in the trunk with what appears to be all the factory tools. The MB hood ornament is included, but has been removed for storage. More engine compartment pictures were posted. Also posted a picture of the bottom of the car - mostly just surface rust. Took a picture of the dip stick with oil on it and no rust.
