1996 SUBARU SVX LSI AWD Condition: I purchased this SVX as a project car from a private individual in Pasadina, MD and towed it home to CT on a Uhaul rental dolly .The project never really got off the ground, so the car is basically as I purchased it.I live on a private road so I have been able to drive it and all seems to be OK in that it runs and shifts properly.The body is rough but there is no rust-through, only surface rust where the paint chipped off in one area. All windows and sunroof work, heater/defrost and A/C work. Doors, trunk, hood are aligned and close and latch properly. The car needs brakes, however included with the car are new drilled/slotted rear rotors, front pads and extra rim/tires. The car needs a P/S high pressure hose, and the right front catalytic converter leaks. It needs the right seam welded. The seam separated but the metal is in good shape and is accessible without removal from the car. Both front turn signals need lenses. The driver side plastic door sill trim is missing and the antenna mast is broken. The interior is fair with no tears on the seats (front or backs) or on door panels. There is some vinyl damage to a small spot on the console just in front of the rear ash tray. A little of the stitching is coming loose on the steering wheel. The battery is weak but will start the car after a charge. I had a "Check Engine" condition indicating a knock sensor problem and replaced the right side knock sensor and repaired the wire to the connector for the left side sensor. I believe that the original problem was due to the wire. The photos don't show it but the engine covers are included and will be in place upon sale. The car IS rough but I still think that it could be brought back to presentable, road worthy condition. Since I purchased the vehicle from Maryland, I have that title from the person who sold me the car. I never registered it in CT. The title is in the name of Timothy John Guinoo who mistakenly signed the back of the title on the "buyer" line of the title but provided me with a properly filled out signed Assignment of Ownership/Bill of Sale form. The car is located in Ridgefield, CT and would need to be towed or flat-bedded upon sale. I am requesting a $500.00 deposit within 3 business days of sale and pick-up ASAP and no later than November 3, 2010. One would assume that you read this down this far because you are familiar with the SVX. If you're not familiar with the model, I suggest that you research using Edmunds.com, etc. for details.
