Vehicle Detail
I have for sale a 1979 Toyota Celica GT 5 speed that has been in the family since new. The car is a daily driver for me. I got it from my Dad after my Uncle passed away. The car sat for two years and I was going to restore it and have now lost interest. It has some surface rust on wheel wells and door jams. The interior has some cracks on the dash board and drivers seat. The Odometer works fine and keeps the milage perfect, But the needle for the Speedometer jumps around while driving at highway speed. The cardboard glove box insert is missing. The headliner is in good shape, See photos. The car has a 20R engine and runs well. I believe the Carburator needs rebuilt, It loses prime after it sits for awhile. All glass is in good shape, One rock ding on front windshield. The tires are fair, But will need to be replaced soon. The Horn and Radio work on ocassion, Dont know why. I have replaced the following parts and have reciepts for the buyer. New: Right front caliper and wheel bearings and seal(front right only). Radiator, Clutch fan, Water pump, Thermostat and gasket, Coolant with 50/50 mix. Cap, Rotor, Plugs and wires, Fuel filter. The car also includes the original two Owners manuals. The A/C does not work at this time. I think it needs charged. The heat is good, But the blower will only work on high and has a smell. I think where it sat for two years. Rear window defrost works fine, Wipers and wash work fine, But the end is off for the wash button. I use a key too complete the circuit to make it work. The car is a manual 5 speed. Power brakes, But is manual steering. The car runs through all the gears great, But it is a little hard to get into gear sometimes. The dealer said that it was a little plastic piece in the top of the transmission, But I never messed with it. All lights work except for the front left marker light. I did not get around to fixing the socket. Car also comes with spare grille and coil. I have described all details to my best knowledge. The car is in overall good shape for being 31 years old. It needs someone with time and the know how to make her shine again. I hope to see it go to a good home. The car is sold as is, Please ask questions before you bid. I will reply to all. I have more pictures and will E-mail them to you upon request. Thank you for looking and have a good day;o) Please do not bid unless you are serious about buying item. I would not waste your time, So do not waste mine.
