Vehicle Detail
I am selling this 1953 Ford F100 early '70's Custom Rest-O-Rod for a friend with NO RESERVE. It was rescued from open to the elements driveway storage and brought back to running order with a little effort. The truck has clear Kansas title. The motor is a 302cu in Ford equipped with Ford racing valve covers, a Carter 4BBL carburetor, exhaust headers with new Thrush mufflers, and a Ford C4 automatic transmission. The motor/transmission operate properly with no leaks or problems noted. A new fuel pump was installed. The rear end is a Chevrolet 10-bolt pos-i-trac. The orginal Ford rear-end is included with this auction. The grill is from a 1955 Ford pickup. The front wheel cylinders and master cylinder have been rebuilt and the original steel brake lines were replaced to make the brake system operational. New carpet and pad was installed. The windshield and rear glass gaskets are not orginal and appear to have been replaced in the truck's recent past. The newer door latch strikes will require replacement due to excessive/damaged wear which will not let the doors latch properly. The bed has new plywood floor with tread plate covering. Radiator and heater hoses were replaced. There are no cooling system leaks. The stock heater does work. A new starter motor and solenoid were installed. A new 12v battery has been installed. True Spoke wire wheels were freshly painted and are equipped with tires with 90% + tread showing. There is no tonneau cover for this truck. The tachometer does not work. This truck is being sold "as is where is" with no guarantees or warranty expressed or implied. Removal and shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. The owner will assist in coordination and loading. Please ask questions before bidding. Thanks for looking. On Oct-16-10 at 10:05:40 PDT, seller added the following information: Notice- While verifying the VIN for a bidder from abroad it was discovered that the frame stamping and the Kansas title did not match. The VIN plate had been removed by a previous owner which required a look at the frame stamping. The fourth digit engine code was transposed with a K rather than a D that is shown on the frame stamping. It appears that there was a typo on the title work somewhere in its past. The owner will now provide a bill of sale and assist with resolving the title work.
