Vehicle Detail
This truck has a 460 and C-6 automatic. I bought this truck a little over a year ago and have replaced the two front floorboards. I have fixed the oil leaks on the motor, installed a Holley carbureutor and over all cleaned it up. I replaced the brake pads all the way around it. The truck starts and drives, has power steering, and factory Air Conditioning. The air conditioning is not hooked up. I have a lot of extra parts that will go with the truck. (See picture) I do have a brand new windsheild gasket and a rear window gasket that go with it. I also have a non sliding rear window (not pictured) that goes. The Dana 60 rearend has had the fluid replaced and the tag shows it to have 4.10 gears. This is pretty much a rust free truck not having the rust in the roof line like most of them do. There is a spot on the right rear quarter fender that is smaller than a quarter. I recommend trailering this pickup as it is not road worthy just yet. It has an exhaust leak on the right side exhaust near the manifold, the transmission leaks a little bit of fuid, a radiator leak (another one is included from a 1979) and backing it out to take pictures I noticed that the left rear brake cylinder was seeping fluid. The brakes still work. I think the bed is off of a 1979 truck with the dual filler doors. There is no rear tank. I have always run the truck off of the tank behind the rear seat and I have never used the second tank that is accessed by the front door on the bed. There is some bondo in the bed near the left rear tail light. The grill has both new plastic inserts installed. If you use the buy it now price you can have the 74 F250 supercab. It has no motor or transmission. All the interior is in it. If you have questions, feel free to ask. The truck is in Canyon, Texas 79015 The truck is for sale locally. On Oct-13-10 at 18:20:30 PDT, seller added the following information: To answer some of the questions: The 460 runs good, holley needs tuned to the motor, I will include the Motorcraft carb that it came with. It is a four barrel also. It sounds great with the glasspacks and echo-chambers and is only loud when you get on it. The exhaust leak is on the pipe side, where the exhaust pipe bolts to the manifold, not the manifold. The pipe flange is not matching to the manifold. I have tried tightning it up, and it helped but did not stop the leak completely. The valve cover gaskets were leaking, I took them off, bead blasted them, repainted them, and put new rubber gaskets on. I removed the front timing cover to fix an oil leak near the fuel pump where somebody had squished the gasket out. The timing chain was not the original, I had a "Ford" buddy look at and he stated that he thought it was a 429 timing gear. He told me it was common to change them out to gain power due to the 1970's emmissions laws requiring Ford to retard the motor to meet specs. As I put it back together I cleaned up, bead blasted, and painted some of the parts. None of the door panels are the original ones, the ones pictured are ones I have bought separately. The rear panels are in really good shape with no cracks. The extra parts includes everything to bolt the rear seat back in. In the parts picture the red seat was originally the front. I moved the back seat to the front because it has no rips where you sit. The blue seat I kept out of another parts truck because it has the latch/lock mechanism to tilt the seat forward, which I thought would eventually make a good rear seat, since the original rear seat does not have the latch (it had the stock bolts) to keep it from tilting forward. The dash pieces are all there, pictured in the parts, I just did not put it back together before taking the pictures. The original buy it now price was $3500.00. If somebody pays that for it they can have the 74 or whatever parts they want to take off of it. The 74 has the small bucket seats in the back, not the bench. The dash pad is green and has NO cracks. The doors are good, no bad rust, with original door panels (green). The rearend tag on the 74 shows 3.73 gears. I do not have a title for the 74. I am available to help load the vehicles if you have one or both shipped. Thanks.
