Goldwing GL1100 in excellent condition with low mileage. This motorcycle starts, runs, and drives like a brand new bike, like a Goldwing should. Seamless power throughout the range. No throttle hesitation. This motorcycle is available for inspection. You may call (920) 203 - 1300 anytime to make arrangements, or ask questions. All maintenance items were done this month including; Engine oil & filter - replaced Air filter - replaced Fuel filter - replaced Fuel lines & clamps - replaced Rear final drive differential gear oil - replaced Engine cooling system - Coolant was drained and replaced with distilled water and driven for about 20 miles and flushed completely. Coolant was replaced using a non-silicate coolant which is recommended for Goldwings Front suspension - Forks were taken apart and cleaned completely. Fork seals & fork oil were replaced. 20 weight suspension oil was used to provide a firmer ride Front brakes - Pads & brake fluid replaced with EBC pads and Dot 4 fluid. Calipers were taken apart, and all parts were cleaned completely and the slides were greased. Master cylinder was flushed and cleaned Rear brakes - Pads & brake fluid replaced with EBC pads and Dot 4 fluid. Caliper was taken apart, and all parts were cleaned completely and the slides were greased. Master cylinder was flushed and cleaned Timing belts - New Gates "Gatorback" belts were installed Intake & exhaust valves - Clearance was adjusted to .004" for the intake valves, & .005" for exhaust valves Spark Plugs - Cleaned and gapped Ignition timing - The 1981 GL1100 has factory electronic ignition. Timing was checked and is now perfect. Carburetors - These carburetors were disassembled from the bike, and all removable slides, caps, gaskets, bowls, valves, screws etc were removed and cleaned. The assembled plentum and carburetor bodies were cleaned using a sonic / heat cleaning machine that cleaned the assembly perfectly. All necessary wear items were replaced as needed, the carburetors were re-assembled and installed on the bike. The bike started right up, ran well and idled well at less than 600 RPM. Then, a set of calibrated vacuum guages were hooked up to the bike, and all synchronization and idle jet adjustments were made. This bike responded appropriately to all adjustments, and all adjustments were made. Carbs were syncronized to +/- .5 units on our calibrated vacuum guages. This bike starts, runs, and drives like brand new. Cleaning & polishing - Unlike maintenance you would get in a Honda shop, or a cycle shop, when this bike was dissasembled to perform the maintenance needed, the parts, and surrounding parts were cleaned to "like new" condition wherever possible. While apart, the following parts were also polished to almost a "chrome like" mirror finish; Front forks Handle bar holders Front engine belt covers Valve covers Carburetor slide covers Carburetor bowls Carburetor intake manifolds or fuel runners Oil filler cap Rear differential filler cap Fork topsInspection port This bike is in great original condition. It handles great, is fast & powerful, and a lot of fun to ride. You will not be disappointed with this bike, and I encourage you to check the bike out in person if possible. This motorcycle is not a "show bike". It has some cosmetic flaws which include a few minor / normal scrapes and nicks in the paint. Also, the top of the bike has some minor fading of the paint. The paint looks great, but, it not perfect. Photos show the flaws as well as they can be represented through photos. Bike is sold "as is" with no warranty implied, or expressed.
